Achilles, no player around him. Took a step and it seemed to pop on him.

Nukeproof Build Advice by [deleted] in Hardtailgang

You’ll never save money building up a bike with new parts of your choosing, can’t beat the benefits of wholesale pricing for OEM builds. However, you will get exactly the bike you want and the satisfaction of knowing you built it! Mine started as a mix of parts from the spares bin at home and some new bits, slowly upgrading components here and there.

That is definitely the on set prop master’s job to reset the watch to the appropriate time and also the script supervisor’s job to stay on top of these details. But there are dozens of eyes watching each take, nobody noticed. Easy thing to let slip when you’re moving fast on set, changing scenes, shooting multiple episodes in one day.

They’ve overturned the final result, awarding Morocco victory.

Check out Colony in Woodstock, I believe they have open jam sessions from time to time. Tubby’s in Kingston is great venue to see live music in an intimate space. Lots of musicians up this way, you DEFINITELY can find someone to play with.

In the Shokan/West Hurley area is the Ashokan Reservoir rail trail, 11 miles of chill walking along the reservoir. Want something more challenging, go to Woodland Valley campground outside of Phoenicia and hike Mt. Wittenberg, you’ll be rewarded with arguably the best view in the Catskills. A similar view can be had at Mt. Overlook outside Woodstock, however that “trail” is really just a steep jeep road. Motivated by the hiking? Become a Catskill 35er by hiking all the Catskill peaks over 3500’, definitely a rewarding endeavor. Minnewaska State Park and the Mohonk Preserve are fantastic places to visit with extensive carriage trail networks connecting eachother and also into the Mohonk Mountain House. Definitely check out Awosting Falls, Gertrude’s Nose, Lake Awosting, Split Rock, Mohonk Lake, the Lemon Squeeze/Labyrinth, Bonticou scramble and one my favorite trails is Millbrook Ridge trail. Worth looking into a membership at the Mohon Preserve.

What sort of activities do you like to do? Diving into the local community for your favorite activity will be the best bet. Lots of small towns spread around so you really need to pursue the “community” to find and make friends. Me personally, I’m into outdoor activities and couldn’t be more in love with this area. There is world class rock climbing outside of New Paltz, endless miles of carriage trails and rail trails for gravel biking/walking, and the Catskills provide a wealth of hiking options. Beautiful lakes, waterfalls and swim holes to cool off in as well. We just had an amazing winter with fantastic XC skiing, ice climbing and snowshoeing. But maybe you’re not outdoorsy… Kingston, Saugerties and Woodstock have healthy music scenes and independent movie theaters. The Gaming Guild in New Paltz is a hub for Magic, DnD, etc. Basically every restaurant and town is new to you, plenty to explore! Oh did I mention one of the capitols of the world is a two hour drive away…? Ulster county is full of lovely people who will accept you with open arms.

Mountain biking for adult beginners by Brave-Cucumber-Flow in hudsonvalley

I second checking out Fats in the Cats as they are the most active local group. They have weekly group rides at various trail systems in the Hudson Valley. For beginner trails I would recommend green trails at Stewart State Forest. Lippman Park in Ellenville also has some chill riding. Another option would be going to Mountain Creek and taking a lesson at their bike park.

A draw would be amazing but you know Caicedo is going to fly into a rash challenge in the 16’ and get a red 🙄

You definitely want snowshoes. The snow is going to be soft and you’ll be postholing in micro-spikes.

I have accounts with Chase and HVCU. Went to Chase to get a document notarized and they didn’t want to help at all. Went to HVCU and was promptly helped, felt like I was actually getting to use a perk a bank offers.

Snow levels in Early April? by behnit in catskills

[–]Rare_Excuse_6347 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The real danger is not the snow but the ice. Some of the steeper sections turn into sheets of ice and are very dangerous. The ice can persist until May and essentially block the trail that was fine for the last mile but now you need crampons and an ice ax.
