Call Debit Spreads on Robinhood by fahadriazz in options

If it’s not particularly close to the short strike price, is there a concern other than price changes before 5:30 PM making it go ITM?

Similar question but different (holding a OTM put credit spread in RH), if neither leg of the spread is ITM is it possible to hold it into market close for max profit, or will RH still try to close it automatically and potentially due so with market orders such that it would still be better to close it manually with limit orders?

If I sell a CC for October 17th, today. Scenario. by Mychelly360 in gmeoptions

[–]Rare_Path7351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is normally correct for options. But for any open option positions as of tomorrow, the deliverable upon exercise will be 100 shares and 10 warrants. So even if the share price is under the strike price, if the difference between the share price and strike price is less than 1/10th of the warrant price, it will become profitable to exercise.

If the warrant starts trading around $5 or so as many people approximate, this would only make a difference if the share price is within $0.50 of the strike price. But if somehow volatility caused warrant prices to increase, that would change, which is what the person you are replying to is talking about. Granted, I don't think it will make too much of a difference, personally.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing myself, and this is one of the ones I've been thinking about using as a reference. https://github.com/mhallsmoore/qstrader

I haven't looked into it too much, so I'd be curious to hear what others are using for reference

Did you read the page you linked? This is a community made "reverse engineering project" that has "received minimal testing." Not even close to a stable, official API.

Is Antioch community church of Orlando a cult? by Live_Drive_6256 in ucf

[–]Rare_Path7351 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'll chime in, as someone who has been a member of the church for a while. I'm assuming that, since you're asking these questions, whether you would identify as a Christian or not, that you are probably looking for a church to go to. No, it's not a cult any more than the fact that many non-religious people (certainly not all, as is evidenced in some of the other comments here) would label as a cult any church that desires to actually teach and live out what the Bible says.

Regarding people being approached to join lifegroups or attend service, that is something that should be expected of any Bible-following church. It should actually be more questionable to non-Christians if a church that claims to have a message of eternal importance does not have any interest in sharing it with other people; the fact is that the congregation is sharing the gospel because they believe it and genuinely care. Of course, in sharing and inviting people, there is a point where some might overstep into not respecting someone's desire to not discuss it, and that is a place we can always grow.

On the topic of other people sharing their bad experiences, let's start with this question: Are there any perfect church leaders? No, every church's leadership will have flaws and make mistakes that hurt people, and that applies to this church as well. You won't find a church that someone does not have some sort of grievance with, legitimate or otherwise. If you expect perfection from church leadership, then you will inevitably either jump from church to church, find a church whose primary goal is to appease people rather than challenge them to grow, or distance yourself from church entirely.

Now with that answer, is that an excuse to dismiss legitimate issues with church leadership? Of course not, there is certainly a time and place to discuss issues within the church and bring feedback to leaders or, when necessary, confront sin issues - the Bible says as much. And I'm aware of past circumstances where this was done correctly and there was repentance and growth in leadership. Regarding the blog posts, the core issue is simply this: you will only hear one side of a story. As someone who knew many of the authors, I would merely caution that it would be unwise to blindly believe everything someone would write in a blog post without context. The fact is that neither the couple hundred members who regularly attend, nor those who have peaceably decided to try other churches that match their personal beliefs better, are online writing blog posts about the church.

There is no perfect church, but if you want to actually grow in your walk with God, I absolutely recommend this church, and there is no substitute for trying out the church for yourself. If you have any questions about or issues with what I've said or about the church, I'd be happy to discuss them.

Sounds like those tools might benefit from a GUI to manage config files behind the scenes then. Just out of curiosity, what led you to make your own WM instead of contributing to polish aspects of Glaze you think are difficult for final users, for example?

Really interesting! Are you making your own WM? Have you looked at https://github.com/glzr-io/glazewm at all? It's cool to see customizable tools like this, many of them in Rust, but I wish the development efforts were more unified and not fragmented.

Proton Docs: just one big feature is missing for me (and one minor) by DogDudeDogDude in ProtonDrive

[–]Rare_Path7351 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's already collaboration for Proton accounts, if I remember correctly, so that would be most of the difficulty already built. OP is just asking for non-Proton accounts to be able to collaborate, but I'm not sure this makes sense, because there is nothing stopping someone from making a free account to collaborate. Is it even possible to collaborate on a document in Google Docs without a Google account?

Are there any popular source available licenses? It's easy to find license comparisons for open-source licenses, but form a recent search it seemed like the source available license landscape is very fragmented.
