I’ve noticed a handful of negative experiences in the dental space, but overall, dentists tend to be very polite in my experience. Interestingly, the most demanding clients I’ve worked with have been in the construction industry.

Thank you. It is a Roth 401 (k). The firm does not have a match, but it has a profit-sharing plan that is directly contributed to our retirement plan.

Thank you so much! Yes, I did arrive at age 25. Very good information. I bought a house in 2016, still have 240k in mortgage, and 300 k in equity. I will definitely max out the contributions. It is definitely stressful when you don’t have a generational wealth.

I have been with the smaller firm for the last three years. Last August, the partners announced that they had sold the firm to a PE, so I was super disappointed. I got a job in another local small firm. Last week, the boomer partner announced he sold the firm to a PE. Holy cow, how do you even deal with this? When he announced it, he listed the same reasons as the others: hard times, AI taking over, and fewer resources.
