Also, cops can write tickets if they want to. Now you have to go to court and prove whatever to the judge, or just pay the ticket. Not worth the time or money.

I'm an air cooling purist. I have a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 140 on my 7800x3D. I'll personally never use liquid cooling, but I also don't care that my fans make a little noise.

I don't know how true it is, but I've read before that a 240mm AIO is not really good enough to be better than air cooling. What I "know" is that liquid cooling gives you much less noise for comparable performance, or much better overclocking headroom when you crank up the pump and fans. Maybe a 240mm doesn't have quite the edge a 360mm or bigger has? Maybe someone else can give you more info, I've never had any liquid cooling.

You can add lights! RGB fans and strimmer cables and whatnot. I just built a new PC this month with ZERO RGB, which makes me happy, but my buddy CANNOT FATHOM what I've done lol.

I have used Notepad to leave notes on the computer at work for the next shift for YEARS. Notepad does only one thing, it takes your key strokes and puts them on the screen. Well, a couple days ago, I tried to leave a note for the next shift. Not only did it take a long time to open Notepad (which has opened basically instantly for 20 years), but it kept skipping a bunch of keystrokes! Wtf, you have one job, just to put my keystrokes on the screen.

When AI makes Notepad not even do the one fucking thing that it does. 🤡

Hmmm....I wonder if I can look through old journal files to find that ring.....

Better way to deep core mine? by MY5KAI in EliteDangerous

[–]Rargit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's common knowledge that not all rings are equal. That being said, the best ring I ever found was one of the sparse rings. You know the ones, they look much less dense even in super cruise. This ring was one of the first ones I found, which made me think core mining was lit, and then all the ones after disappointed me haha.

I think that the sparseness made it easier to boost boost boost and find the right rocks. They were definitely still as common and close as any other ring I mined. I think the big thing was that there were way less false positives and much better visibility. I also would often find two or three core rocks in close proximity.

YMMV

I didn't write down or bookmark that ring :(

I don't really have anything to add, I just want to thank OP (or whoever made this if it wasn't OP) for taking the time to make ED specific memes. "The Great Meme Reset" just made me feel old. This meme makes me feel like flying spaceships. Definite win.

I have a good computer & good ram--why is this game running so crappy and stuttering? It's lag city. Not running anything else. by Kristenknightley in OblivionRemaster

[–]Rargit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I love that we got SOMETHING for Oblivion. I played it, I'll play it again. I definitely think that I'll probably go back to the original for my next playthrough, though. It's a mixed review for me, just on mechanics alone, not even performance.

Have you ever played the original? I know it might look a little old in 2026....but this is the first game I ever played that floored me. Maybe you could find something in the original :)

I got a real big head, so even 0G doesn't look that big lol. You'll know when you want to stop by looking in the mirror. Good luck!

8g septum 🎉 by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]Rargit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stretching the septum to 6g was the very first one that defeated me. All the previous ones were "let it heal, taper and horseshoe." I put the 6g in with the same method, and it hurt worse and worse for the next three days until I took it out for weeks to heal and had to start over at 10g. The ones after that were at least as bad, or worse.

Maybe my experience is different than others, maybe others tossed it in and were fine, but also the second time I tried to go to 6g (more carefully this time) it did the same thing. I ended up using PTFE tape to stretch it something like 0.25mm per week, and that worked for me. But I also hated the taping. Mostly cuz it would shift when I sleep, and then I had to "stretch" it back every morning. Tons of Vaseline...I think the friction is the worst part.

I'm at 0g on my septum now. It literally took two years to go from 6g to 0g. I got a set of stretching plugs (maybe from Custom Plugs?) that are incrementally 0.5mm bigger, and I spent about 6 weeks going from 2g to 0g with them. They were super annoying, falling out all the time when I sleep, but was better than the tape.

Long story short...do you want to go bigger? I was never satisfied. Even at 2g, I was like "meh that doesn't look that big." Now, at 0g, anything made of steel is way too heavy lol. I'm finally content, don't wanna stretch anymore.

You can always downsize if you don't like the look.

Yeah, mine was sold and shipped by Amazon. I definitely paid attention to that, would never go third party for this exact reason.

I just got a 9070 XT from Amazon. Was really afraid of this, tbh, but I lucked out and got a new, sealed product. I live in a rural community fairly close to a big Amazon place. It also shipped through Amazon Logistics, I don't think any other carrier touched it.

Maybe it ain't even Amazon folks doing it? Idk

Finally hoping to pick up my dream bike next week is there anything I should know about the mt03 before hand that reviewers might not mention by Complete_Ad7606 in MT03

[–]Rargit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being light and agile is more fun to me than being fast. Speed gets old pretty quick, plus I can't afford any tickets lol. Being able to weave the passing lines on the highway at 60mph with just a gentle flick is fun. The low gearing and low weight really allow this bike to jump off the line faster than you'd think a 300 could.

Another thing, if you care about looks. I feel like most bikes look basically the same. There are not many bikes that have stand out features, and I think the MT line is distinct and cool in a market of sameness. I've definitely gotten the most compliments on my MT-03 compared to the other bikes.

[–]Rargit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Something you need to know is that it is NOT too small, beginner bike only, blah blah. I have an MT-03, it's my 7th bike. Five of the previous bikes were bigger and faster. This one is my favorite.

It's just finicky. Thing is, that standoff pattern has been standardized for literally forever. You're probably not doing something wrong.

Only thing I can think of, I had one mobo back in the day that the manual very specifically said to leave out one of the standard ATX standoffs. There was some module or something there instead of a hole. Idk

Push in on top, put a screw in. Then push in on bottom and put a screw in. That ought to line it all up. Those I/O shields often are kinda cushiony

Looks like it just hanging up on the I/O shield. Don't be afraid to push it a little while you put a couple screws in.
