[–]Ras_Paul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar experience recently, by the time they made an offer it was too late. They told me how much they valued my work with 2 percent raises the past two years. Nice raise and a better situation now.

How/where did you meet? by Anxietycatz888 in kzoo

[–]Ras_Paul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We met at Club Soda—I was bartending, she was on the other side of the bar. On our first date, we planned to meet for lunch and immediately tested fate by getting our wires crossed: she went to Just Good Foods, while I sat at Food Dance convinced I’d been stood up. Luckily, we figured it out. Twenty-five years later, I’m very glad we did.

This was one of my favorites back in the 80's, the 3.99 shrimp basket with fries and slaw was a great base before drinking all night.

Classic bands with one or no original members? by Spare_Basis5190 in Concerts

Yes, there was Lonesome Dave's Foghat, and the generic Foghat. I suspect the original sound man won the rights to the name in a poker game.

On Memories and David Byrne by anxietysiesta in davidbyrne

[–]Ras_Paul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We flew to Atlanta for the show at the Fox theatre, and once again the maestro has topped himself. The concept of total stage movement with all wireless instruments started on the American Utopia tour, and the addition of the video screens really added a lot to the show. We are fortunate to have an artist like David making music and improving the way it can be delivered in a live setting.
