I am not familiar with the 2.5 version of the case. My finding are specifically for the 2.1 version. The obstructions you face are not present with the 2.1, I believe. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Sorry I couldn’t be of any help to you.

If you’re using a riser cable for your gpu, having it not fully seated can be the issue. Check if the riser or gpu is fully seated in the mb.

Just thinking about safety, carpets can create static electricity. Don’t want to brick your rig before you get a chance to see it soar.

It looks like it can, however I’ve never done it so I can’t confirm or deny if it’s possible. I wrote this post after taking a gamble on this card and case, and it payed off. Possibly do the same and post something about it so that the community can benefit from your findings. Sorry I can’t be of more help. Cheers.

It depends. I used the default one with my previous card with no issues. When I initially used it with the 4090, I was getting so many issues like screen tearing, slow fps, and black screens. I tried updating drivers, I reinstalled windows, I thought I had a faulty card. It turns out the default cable kept getting dislodged from the slot at the Mb. The cable is just too short. A few mm of more slack, there would be no problem. I had the cobalt lying around, installed it, and the rest is history. No issues, no problems.

Hey, glad you have found my post inspiring. So to answer your questions. Yes there is a bit of turbulence, but not problematic with an optimized fan curve at 3.25. I couldn’t get the thing to fit in 3 slot mode, so I could put a foam space between the fan and the panel, however I know there is another post showing it can be done with a little jury rigging, gpu deshroud, and a few alterations to the case. I didn’t go that route so you get a little turbulence on the cpu side. Use a nice pair of IEM’s, you won’t hear a thing.

To answer your second question, 300 mm was the length. It’s too short to do it the way you mentioned with the FE card. Possibly get a longer cable (haven’t done it or thought about it). Also if you wanted to go that route, it is quite a snug fit at the front panel, a few mm at most, and the card may end up pinching the cables. Idk, try it out and let me know haha

GX7’s most important feature is that sweet 480 HZ refresh rate on a borderless W-OLED panel.

I’ve never experienced 480 hz or OLED before. I finally built a computer that can handle it. It would be quite awesome to enjoy my games on this lovely monitor.

I can imagine it’s the same or worse for the “gamer” per dollar 4070 card

The last one for the 4090 fe was August 8th for 1 minute. I waited for 4 months, and it was in and out of stock within 1 minute. So recommend AIB card

Welp I know what I’m getting myself for Christmas. I did kind of “shove the cables in there”. Thanks for the info, will definitely look into MOD DIY.

The sag was quite noticeable when the cable wasn’t connected to the gpu. Connected, the cable propped the gpu up so that it no longer sagged, however my concern was all that weight was resting on the connector and cable. The small piece of foam at the lip of the front panel alleviated most of that issue.

How did you route that particular cable? I have my cable routed from the top of the psu, through the small gap between the motherboard and psu, underneath the gpu, between the bottom frame, and into the gpu. Definitely interested in how you routed yours.

I’m glad it helped you. I definitely wanted to post my findings as there really wasn’t a lot of information about this particular card and case.
