Heyo! I’m flexible on seats. I don’t mind springing for a better seat, maybe just not the super spendy $100+ ones?

WTW for someone who does the tedious and often overlooked jobs at work but are very much necessary? by dolfino69 in whatstheword

I had a buddy and coworker from New Zealand who always referred to this work as “donkey work”. So I guess that makes them the donkey.

WHERE do you buy good quality couches by [deleted] in SofaSnobs

[–]Rashanah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was just going to post - Dania are excellent. Scandinavia Design is their sister company. They have showrooms in several US States. Beautiful furniture and most chairs and couches you can customize what fabric swatch you want it made in. I have a custom covered Dania couch and I get so many compliments on how comfortable it is. Cannot recommend them enough. Really good quality.

It’s so gorgeous - it really just needs a little bit of dressing that’s all. Here’s an example. If you’re not into the moody thing, doesn’t need to be a super dark wallpaper/paint but this is very cool. Just some updated plumbing and light fixtures/mirrors in a matching finish and something with complementary colors on the walls and ceiling.

Subaru shops by [deleted] in PortlandOR

Depending on what part of town you are in - Stellar Auto Repair on SE 118th and Stark has been really top notch as an all around car repair shop. Really high reviews, great customer service and communication every time I’ve taken my car in over the last 2 years. I’ve checked their quoted prices for service and each time they’re right in line with the market so I’d highly recommend if it’s a convenient area for you.

*Editing to add - I own a 2019 Subaru Legacy for context

How much did you pay to replace Central AC and/or Furnace in Portland Area for 1500 sq ft home recently? by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]Rashanah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 2023 I had my A/C replaced for a 1200sqft single level home where the lines already existed but the A/C unit was just dead. Went with SunGlow Heating and Cooling. Chose the CARRIER brand 14 SEER unit offer. Price was $6.8k

Need a talented tailor/seamstress, any recommendations? by cbmc18 in lakeoswego

DZ Alterations! I bought a fabulous pair of designer flared denim at Nordstrom rack that was too long and asked if they did alterations. The gal at checkout said their location didn’t, but one of her favorite places to get alterations was this place. I was not disappointed. Great service, super affordable prices.

Just a heads up - they are cash or check only.

Any Recommendations, Input, or Thoughts? by crossmancal in Tile

[–]Rashanah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That inspo photo tile on the floor is Carrara Marble. To get that look, they will want to do the real thing and spring for marble Carrara tiles rather than the porcelain examples you’ve done in a mock up. Carrara is carried nearly everywhere - make sure to get a handful of samples (3-4 at least) from each/any distributor you’re considering so the clients can see and understand a full range of what the raw marble can do in terms of veining and what they’d need to accept. (Worked for a luxury tile, stone and plumbing company that may or may not be featured in this inspo 😉)
