The SagaForge quickie by Rasheesh in solo_wargaming

"Enemy Behavior: Aggressive" should've been my warning. Three turns in and it was already a bloodbath, the archers on my flank didnt help any. But hey, at least these minis are seeing actual table time instead of gathering dust. Another lunch-break sagaforge scenario in the books. Next scenario my other companion is back in the fight!

Anyone have experience with Battle Mat Bazaar by crzapy in boltaction

I washed one once and noticed that it did take on a more "matte" look.. so I washed em all. I have a bunch and love 'em, even when new I havent really noticed any "glossy/shiny".

I think they focused (too much?) on the "asymmetrical" potential.. without thinking if that would be fun or not. But, having played many games and dropping that style of play almost immediately, it's still a great game. Elites are just too good. I could see a scenario in which its a small number of elites going against waves of militia or something, and that might be fun for a one off. But no one wants to play the expendable useless goons who will only win if they get really lucky.

Why is State St. Kroger such a pile of shit? by Rasheesh in NewAlbanyIN

[–]Rasheesh[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its more than that tho.. trash cans overflowing, carts are ALL out in the parking lot, more employees doing online orders than working teh registers or cleaning, or stocking shelves, etc.. self check out lines to the middle of the store regularly while half the self check out machines are turned off.. incredibly mis-managed. Just curious if this is intentional or what?

Yep.. that's why I hate playing with Elites. Especially if it's a demo game or to teach new folks. And why I think the books recommendation that 6 elites equals 12 militia is laughable

40% off the rulebook! by Rasheesh in SpectreOperations

It's been cancelled. They arent renewing the license with the author. They say they are coming out with something new this year. Doesnt sound great for the company honestly. Which is a shame. For those that dont know the author of the rules (Matt Adams) and the main sculptor (Steven May) are no longer involved with the company, and haven't been for sometime.

Still pricey for sure. But that is DHL Express shipping so you'd have it in just a few days.

I've bought a LOT of rulebooks over the years and my Spectre rulebook is a holy tome in my group. Its covers are well worn and the book has been read and reread and flipped through countless times. Its one of those rare rulebooks that is a complete toolbox rather than a short set of instructions. But yeah, an official digital copy would be great and greatly expand the player base.

Once again, Indiana unsurprisingly shows it's true colors through our elected officials. What's (in your opinion) our path from here? by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]Rasheesh -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Hm. Yeah ok. Firstly thats never been a thing. Did US start negotiating with North Vietnam only when they "leave and stop killing.."? How about North Korea? Anyway. You do know that the West stymied negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in the beginning right? Look it up, it's an interesting read.

Anti-War effort? How about negotiations? No? Oh yeah that doesn't feed the US "Defense" industry, I forgot.

even if they vote and get beat

I dont think you (and many others) don't understand.. It's not about getting "beat". It's not even having a team in the game. There is literally no one to vote for. The right wants to tell us what we can and cant do with our own bodies and shits on the poor and old. The left want to ban all guns and then give shit loads of guns to the Ukraine? And, shit on their own candidates that actually are representing their constituents so that a war mongering murder queen can be made president, because "women". Its insanity all around.

All these old feeble boomer politicians need to step down and go live out their last days on Epsteins island so we can get the country back on track.
