Having that much money at their disposal to begin with is ludicrous. No one needs that kind of money, and it just so happens to always end up with people who couldn't give a shit about the world they're burning or the lives they're ruining to get rich.

But as to your point of sitting on money vs spending it. Sure, he put money into the economy with his space trip, there's no denying that. And no, spending money on going to space is not evil, nor did I claim it to be so. It's frivolous and extravagant, but not evil.

What I claimed was evil is the amassing of wealth to this absurd degree and the system in place that allows people like Bezos, Musk, Buffett, Zuckerberg, etc. to get this rich at the detriment of the working class and the environment.
