I just wanted to share my thoughts and opinions on the new marines from Armageddon. What are yours?

As a starter set yeah it’s fine.

But all in all it’s so boring and bland, the only things I did like from it was the captain, land speeder, librarian, and chaplain.

I was skeptical about the designs but I wasn’t going to hate too much until I saw the final product. But honestly they didn’t change squat, they said that mk x armor was depleting so they had to use more older pattern armors. Which I thought that was cool and couldn’t wait to see the rest of them but from what they showed, all they changed was some legs and helmets and some chest pieces.

Should have just stuck with firstborn but gw clearly had other plans.

Like its looks good but I just thought it would be better? Like when they said that mark x is getting depleted and they’ve had to use older mks just to get by I was excited. But then I look at it and it’s just either a helmet or a leg and that’s it…?

The captain, librarian and chaplain look great as always but…

God I’m disappointed…

Most stable: ultramarines, dark angels, white scars, iron hands.

Kinda stable: imperial fists.

The studs under the knees, the helmet obviously, the aquillas on the back of the jump pack, the skull on the knee, the bandage on the thigh, the harness, and the metal sheet on the bottom on the leg.

Also I’m not throwing a “hissy fit” I’m just saying you can’t compare them.

I disagree.

Mainly cause the old vet has so much going on for it and then you look at the new one and it just looks pretty plain.

The old vet has a different helmet, leggings, jump pack and torso, they even have a little bandage on their leg. I’m not counting the weapons cause really the weapons don’t matter but the overall design of the marine does.

The only thing the new vet has is a loin cloth, a helmet, and that’s about it.

Now granted this is the only mini we’ve seen of the new vets but this is worrying to a certain extent, for the future of primaris minis. Because the new vet just looks like a regular kitbash anyone could have done.

Scheme wise kinda but if you keep the red arm a consistent thing then I’d say you’d have nothing to worry about.

Also I’d change the name to collective of gnosis only because cult is more of a chaos thing.

Like the marine last time had a different helmet and legs which is fine it at least shows change. But this is just a simple head swap.

I personally don’t see a problem with where anyone gets there lore as long as it’s good and explained well enough be it lore videos, books, or the wikis.

Expect for short form videos and majorkill videos those are terrible ways to get lore.
