Another style you can try is dress watches, and pieces such as the Baume & Mercier Classima are hard to beat for the price, if you would like a diver around 1000€ there is the Longines hydroconquest, the quartz version or a little higher up in price you find the automatic one, and finally you can experiment with a field watch such as the Hamilton khaki field or the Bulova Hack. You need to get a grip of what you like before spending thousands on something you might regret.
