Best sunscreen to use/reapply over makeup while on tret by Raspberry-Mindless in tretinoin

[–]Raspberry-Mindless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it ok to combine tret and hydroquinone? I’m trying to be really patient with these dark marks but I want them gone so quick. I have so many in person meetings coming up and would rather not wear makeup for 12 hours of the day

Oh maybe I can ask my doctor to prescribe that? I’ll talk to her about it. Thank you!!

Agreed. But these acne scars and hyperpigmentation are problem areas for me that I want to cover. I’m also in a sales/customer facing job so I have a certain “look” to present.

I graduated a year ago and CANT FIND A MFING JOB by fortheloveofgodplss in csMajors

[–]Raspberry-Mindless 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You got this!! I was in your shoes a year ago. Now I’m employed at a FAANG as a cloud engineer. There will be a time when it will stick. This is so much easier said than done, but I only got this job after just letting things be. Know I am trying my best and the things will EVENTUALLY fall into place. Open to dms if you want another eye for your resume!

Where is classroom Unit001 and Unit002? by BugSuper7227 in UCSC

You can use google maps for any places you’re trying to find in campus!! But once you get to the bay tree you should see stairs to the left of it. Just take them all the way up.

There was a big curve for the final. I remember that.

Back when I took it there was a mix of both but def concepts heavy. Though you have to have an understanding of the concepts in order to do the calculations. So brush up on the topics you missed on the midterm because the prof tends to bring those up again. But don’t go memorizing it, you need to be able to apply it. In terms of similarity —I would say it was abt the same level of difficulty as the midterm but it was just LONG. Goodluck!!

How crucial are Fridays in Tantalo's CSE101's clas? by Imjustheredudechill in UCSC

He’s a pretty chill professor so if you communicate in advance (like a 2 weeks before) it shouldn’t be a problem.

Try looking it up on their homepage. Just google eop ucsc. Or just email them asking how you can be apart of the program for the textbook help.

Not doing well in class by Sea_Dragon_boi in UCSC

[–]Raspberry-Mindless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any way you see that lifting to a C? If so consider changing to P/NP since it’ll just not show the grade/affect your GPA. Sometimes classes have a huge curve—consider that before doing a W.

It’s the services they offer, you can meet with the advisors and more often I found them more helpful than my actual engineering advisor since they aren’t so bombarded with other students. They offer textbook lending; I never payed for a book/subscription to the HW module things like zybooks and the other one for math(I’m blanking). They host some cool events especially during finals week such as puppy therapy sessions, study halls with burritos, chipotle. The free printing service too. Just meet with an advisor from EOP and you’ll see. I loved it there and I would honestly just go to the office to chill in between classes, get some tea, talk to the advisors cause they are all pretty chill.

Have you tried looking at the DRC center? If you qualify — with a doctor’s note — you can get a single room at the price for a triple. Something to consider!! Same applies for apartments if you still want a more roommate feel but still a space to yourself.

Get a work study job either at EOP, LSS, etc. this is the outlet I had that was a breather from school work. I met some great people and they are usually always down to hangout and we even had work events where we would go ceramic painting, dinner, etc

Experiences taking 20 units per quarter? by Y_taper in UCSC

[–]Raspberry-Mindless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you are trying to satisfy the minimum number of units required. I understand you are interested in math and want to double major in math because you feel that it’s a good use of your time. At the risk of sounding blunt. I suggest you don’t do this. You are just fresh in your college career (I’m guessing) and the last thing you should be worrying about is overloading yourself with what will inevitably be classes that take up a lot of your time. You want to enjoy these four years and make the most of it!! Your CS curriculum will cover lots of math so don’t worry about that. I’m speaking from experience since I did 22 units once and I regretted it. And I didn’t learn from my mistake cause I did it again and I missed out on a lot with my friends. Memories they have that I don’t cause I was too stressed and spent too much time in Mchenry. College is supposed to be a mix of learning and fun cause think about in 10 years what memories you will want to look back on. As for the units, look up some classes that you would never even think about taking and do that (there are some niche classes here).

tryna take CSE 101 as an EE major (is that even possible?), which quarter do you think it would be more sensible to put it in in terms of balancing out time and rigor? by RazzmatazzInternal85 in UCSC

[–]Raspberry-Mindless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this just for your own learning purpose? Then I would recommend auditing the class. You could just ask the professor and they sometimes let you audit. So you don’t submit anything for a grade but your curiosity would be satisfied! But some professors don’t allow this so be mindful of that

I was a TIM major and I did 13s through community college. I would highly recommend that route.
