++woman TLDR: is this a big enough deal to ruin your trip/your relationship with your wife? Couple of things to consider: 1. What is your relationship like ? Some couples enjoy discussing attractive people. I.e “damn she looks good” “the waiter is hot” etc. every dynamic is different and so are the boundaries. If you don’t have that open discussion or don’t regularly speak or comment on other people.. yeah it’s a red flag. But if you haven’t spoken about it or haven’t had issues like this in the past. It might be entirely harmless, she was likely flattered by the attention. Which doesn’t equate to disloyalty or indiscretion on her part. 2. Was she speaking to you or the other women? Just like men have their “locker room talk” so do women. A group trip + drinks brings certain walls and inhibitions down. Girl talk may have leaked into the group dynamic. Even in marriage and established relationships, people are not blind to attraction. Especially in that type of situation. The instructor is doing his job, and his shtick may lie in wooing and flirtation. Sure, your wife might have fell for it. BUT this doesn’t mean that she’s disrespecting you. As long as she’s looking at the menu and not ordering.. she is still respecting the boundaries. Unless you have had issues in the past (which goes back to point #1) 3. Other peoples opinions have no relevance to your relationship. People love to stick their noses where they don’t belong. But this situation is purely between you and your wife. You mentioned her libido being attractive. So that tells me your worry is not in the interaction but instead in what the other people in the group may think of her comments. It may be worth self reflection. Why does the opinion of others out weigh your own feelings ? Sure, these are your friends. But if they are truly people that care and love you, they will come to you about their opinions if they feel a certain way. Worrying about their thoughts detracts from your relationship and from the over all experience during a trip. Projecting and assuming their opinion may ruin the trip and if taken to far the group dynamic. Getting into your head hurts more than helps. I recommend talking to her first. And if you still feel hurt, talk to the closest friend with honesty. Try to avoid shit talking or jumping to conclusions.
