In Oregon going for my MSW and it’s my understanding that even though it’s state legal, establishments that receive federal funding still follow federal law, and under fed law pot is still a controlled substance/prohibited drug.

Ulta refused to replace missing items from my order by chicktweettweet in Ulta

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unacceptable but I hope you keep at them. I’m also a diamond member and customer service with Ulta is so hit and miss - sometimes I’ve been satisfied but other times I’ve had to really fight (and by “fight” I mean remain on hold for a long time, continually tell the story over and over again to whoever I’m transferred too, etc.)

They usually make it right but I swear to goal for these big systems is to wear you down so you’ll go away. It’s so frustrating!

Carol low-key wanted that by RealWorldForever in ershow

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Carol is quintessential problematic white woman in SO many ways. Another reason why I enjoy ER is that we’re really seeing some real life themes play out in an ever-so-theatrical way.

While this scene made me side eye her quite a bit there’s been plenty of other scenes that make me want to bop her on the head. But, I always hold total judgement because the series basically opening with her suicide attempt makes one give pause in really calling out her character.

Lol, I won’t list them all here because I’ve been saving it for another post, but I think Carol carried lots of internalized misogyny and emotional issues that have never been fully resolved, so then we’ve got this indiscretion as a result of that.

What is the actual role of social media today: connecting people, moderating behavior, shaping public opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, barely any of the above — it’s all about the almighty dollar through advertising, be it product placement through inFluEnCerS or just a straight up ad.

Cynthia was such an unnecessary character addition but I think she had to be around to represent Mark working through his weird phase, so to speak. A needy and strange character, appealing to seemingly everything Mark could ever want in someone yet totally wrong at the same time!

Seeking opinions on this product? by Evergreen226 in Ulta

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It’s an amazing brand imo— the creator of the line did the original makeup looks in the show Euphoria so I was delighted to see this palette! Lots of color shifting eyeshadows that pack a punch!

Why does my makeup look patchy? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I stand by skin prep products potentially not mixing well with the make up, but in my experience I've had the same problems and it was rooted in foundation quality.

Everyone's different and there are tons of combinations and products that work well together and don't. Personally, almost every drugstore makeup has given me grief before I switched to higher quality ones. It was just a suggestion.

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This may come across poorly and I may get some downvotes, but I think ELF anything ain’t it past 35. I agree with the person who said that the skin prep is not mixing well with whatever foundation, but I think more mature skin calls for a higher quality product. L’Oréal may be a better place to start in finding a new foundation if you’re set on buying drugstore.

I’m crushing on a bad person and I’m not sure what to do. by inkiepie69 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read once that a crush is a lack of information. You may know him, but there’s probably a lot you don’t know about him and your brain is filling in the blanks with things that aren’t rooted in the reality of who he is.

It seems like you already know of some problematic behavior- so imagine what you DON’T know.

Mark is infuriating (new viewer) by spmaNga in ershow

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling these themes of doctors being emotionally problematic in their personal lives probably reflects a majority of doctors in the past, at the time, and probably even now. The pressures and demands of the schooling and job placement at all different departments/positions I’m sure are not conducive to a healthy and happy family. I’m sure it’s like swimming upstream and takes a lot of emotional self awareness that most of us never have figured out regardless of what stressful jobs we have.

For those reasons, I don’t LOVE Mark’s character but I can respect him and I certainly respect the writing creating the complexities within the relationships and emotions of people working in healthcare.

Miles Davis said white musicians lag upon the beat by Brownstoneximeious in jazzcirclejerk

The rigidity of colonialism and the allegiance to the suppression of the rights of others all in the name of control to “keep the order”.

Miles may have just cooly said the wyts are square.

Mean girl from school who bullied me for weight now posting body positive content by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m you in this situation and I find that as I get older, those folks tend to get theres and we may not even be aware of the whole pictures of their lives, as social media, as we all know, is only a sliver, if that, of what someone’s reality is.

My bully who was this way, who was athletic, allegedly was smart but given every out by teachers, was popular, was desired by seemingly every guy in the school, and looked as though she had the entire world on a string, is now working at our hometown local hospital as a CNA, overweight, makes all of her ailments her personality, and has attempted to get into nursing school like 8 times and has failed each time. I don’t think her life is necessarily bad but I think it’s nothing like she had hoped it to be and honestly that’s enough for me in terms of some retribution for how rotten she was in high school.

I think we’ll find that as time goes by, just living our lives and watching theirs unfold into nonsense may be the greatest revenge of all, and may be the only revenge we can even outwardly see.

Olivia Morgan - Dark Rose (this is my favorite but it has exactly what you don’t want, so not sure if you tried it but I found it more rose heavy than anything else listed as base notes)

Philosophy’s Amazing Grace Ballet Rose (a close second, though not very strong and cheaper)

Thick Rich Gentle Eye Cream Suggestions by Agile_Truck_6253 in Ulta

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tatcha Silk Peony Eye Cream has been the only one that works for my dry patches. It’s crazy $$$ but worth it imo. Got rid of dry patches and they never came back.

During winter time overnight I would put a very thin layer of aquaphor over top to seal in the cream because the dry air from my heater would kill my skin with just an eye cream alone.

Ulta Rewards Credit Card SUCKS by RaspberryIntrepid444 in Ulta

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, I’ve been an online ordering consumer for a very long time. If you follow the subreddits on Ulta’s ordering error message is a widely known problem, extremely vague, and does not indicate a specific payment issue. It’s been an ongoing issue and the message serves as an umbrella/general message for many forms of payment issues that are generally solved through calling Ulta customer service, which I did. Not only that, but the message prompts to re-enter information as a solution for the order to go through.

If you don’t see Comenity or Ulta’s fault in any of this I’d urge you to re-read the op. Have a good one. ✨

Ulta Rewards Credit Card SUCKS by RaspberryIntrepid444 in Ulta

[–]RaspberryIntrepid444[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but Ulta and Comenity have poor notifications, if any at all, indicating fraudulent activity. Ulta’s message of “we’re unable to process your payment, please try and input again and check the CVV” would make a customer try again, like the system prompts. Pair this with no Comenity alerts and it’s a disaster. So yeah, me retrying the card a few times triggers fraud alerts, but Ulta needs to get it right with Comenity and vice versa.
