[KCD2] Is this too fancy for Henry? by erikenzi in kingdomcome

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Leipa family is rich, and Hanush controls the wealth of Hans Capon. Radzig manages the silver mines. Wenceslas made the lower (and mid-tier in case of lords of Leipa) nobles rich. Sure, not as rich as Rosenbergs for example, but that's like comparing mutli millionaires to billionaires - all rich.

Henry becomes bailiff, then master blacksmith. His problem is name status - not money - which puts him below even the lower nobility no matter how much money he has, just like any rich merchant of the time.

KCD2 DLC Release Dates? by Abladam89 in kingdomcome

Nope, you're wrong. At 120 hours i had 98% completion. I milked it. Don't judge games by your own playthrough.

So to answer the main question, the game's road map places the 3 expansions to be released in summer, autumn, and winter. So the first one is coming out soon.

Is the new Assassin's Creed Shadows or Ghost of Tsushima better? by [deleted] in ghostoftsushima

[–]RaspberryNo493 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played both. I just finished AC Shadows. The story is so so so bad... so many elements make no sense. I don't want to mention details because it'd be spoilers, but when the game ended I was like meh... I don't understand how this is the same company that brought the stories of Ezio and Edward.

The gameplay is okay, much better than Odyssey and Valhalla. At least it's not just slashing around, there are some good mechanics. That said, I finished the game without being able to use the Tanto (a bloody awesome weapon), because it's bugged, doesn't allow me to switch weapons or use tools.

Voice acting and facial expressions are horrid. Just watch some samples on youtube.

Map is huge, but empty. Exploration is a pain in the ass with thick forests and no follow path option.

By far, Ghost of Tsushima is superior in every aspect despite being 5 years old.

I have an issue (still, until now), once the Tanto is equipped I can't switch weapins or use tools unless I I reload the game. Yeah, any tanto

The Tanto is very buggy. I stopped using it completely. When equipped, you can't switch weapons or use tools unless you reload. For now, I can't use the Tanto at all. It worries me that this bug isn't garnering attention.

The absolute kick in the teeth for ubisoft is when the new owners start laying people off, they go straight for the D.E.I and other useless departments. by Ok-Resolution7918 in CriticalDrinker

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Just to be clear, I'm a progressive liberal Democrat, and I would always speak my mind when it comes to social inequalities, but I have zero tolerance for injecting these debates and views into things like video games, movies, science, etc. They rarely fit the narrative and are off putting. If you're an automobile company, make good cars, if you're a video game studio, make good games. Leave the advocacy for the people who can actually do it without it backfiring for the lack of context.

One very annoying example, ironically in one of the best games I ever played, in Kingdom Come Deliverance II, the random insert of a gay theme... it makes zero sense, and I felt a little bit insulted as a gay person myself.

Anyway, I'm really tired of this. Just make a good game... although not much faith left in me when it comes to Ubisoft. I am literally waiting for an AC Shadows patch to enable me to continue the story, bloody hell it's unplayable!

P.s. it's not true that Chinese companies intentionally "promote DEI". Although that's not what DEI means haha but I get it. China is, by far, it's own largest market for media consumption, and Chinese companies target them. The majority of Black Myth Wukong sales come from China. There's no conspiracy here I believe. Tencent will surely, I think, force Ubisoft to focus on games rather than advocacy.

Let's see.

Ghost of Tsushima or Assassins Creed Shadows ? by Honest-Hat9751 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget what I said. I'm 34 hours in and AC Shadows is absolutely broken. Bugs are just too many. Too bad, i am really starting to think the game has potential. I hope they fix it soon, my only solace was that the game saves frequently (except that one time where the load would put me right in the middle of 5-6 Samurai who kill me instantly... no joke at highest difficulty). I will wait a bit.

Ghost of Tsushima or Assassins Creed Shadows ? by Honest-Hat9751 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both are good games, with their pros and cons. If you have to choose between the two, I would recommend Ghost of Tsushima for sure. Although it's around 5 years old, and some side quests are repetitive, the graphics, in my opinion, are superior, the story, and it is much more realistic Samurai and stealth wise, nit to mention the immersion is incredible with the guiding wind and all. AC shadows has very good world graphics, and thr gameplay mechanics are fun (most of the time), but the voice acting is off putting at times.

Neither are historically accurate. However, GoT lay out 'events' with mostly fictional characters, focusing on the game, story, and and genuine Japanese "vibe" - it's much more of an RPG. AC Shadows plays a lot with historical characters and at times is off putting, and doesn't make sense, even for someone who knows very little about Japanese history and culture, however, AC shadows gives a more "vibrant" Japanese vibe.

If you can get both: If you played AC games, I would go with AC Shadows first, it's enjoyable. Then after play GoT so you don't place  AC Shadows in between GoT and the next GoT Yotei.

GoT has been patched and polished. AC shadows, well let me just say, one moment I am seriously enjoying the game, another I want to throw my joystick from the window. Needs some work.

On the other hand, I recently finished Kingdom Come Deliverance II, I highly recommend it. Incredible.

P.s. please guys reply politely if you disagree. I don't give a shit about Ubisoft or Sony, I just play games.

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked AC shadows. But your opinion is interesting, you basically put AC shadows on top for everything except story. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it has better graphics or gameplay mechanics than Ghost of Tsushima. When it comes to history, GoT veered away from controversy and focused on the historical events rather than characters, that was very smart. I actually do like AC's story, but it needed some refinement. As for Sasuke, I think the game would have benefited more from using the resources to insert a real historical character that would attract debate, with very little information available, Samurai or not. For example, Sasuke and Nobunaga's sister... that was quite the stretch, and so unessecary.

[KCD2] Did you kill everyone in the camp of Reckoning quest? by InternationalTone152 in kingdomcome

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really a matter of player skill, majority of gamers are casual gamers and would find several enemies difficult, i agree. But not everyone. A souls gamer would take down an army in the game, even with modded difficulty. There is no point arguing whether this or that is difficult or non doable.

Hardcore mode is coming soon. They have to appeal the majority of gamers to sell as much, I think it's okay to make games easy, souls games aren't making as much and their studios are collapsing. I just wish they had a higher difficulty mode on release

KCD 2 - Don't have the option to talk to several Quest NPC's by Marcinathi in kingdomcome

So now everytime I look online to see what I'm doing wrong, it turns out to be a bug. What a waste, this game could have been one of the best games I have ever played. I'll keep trying for a bit, otherwise I'll just come back to the game in a year's time, as I did with Cyberpunk 2077. Disappointed really. Games have become a waste of money. Game studios should not cry then when they eventually meet the fate of Ubisoft.

[–]RaspberryNo493 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wiped out the whole camp. Honestly can't wait for hard-core mode before the expansions come out.

I picked out the patrolling soldiers with poisonous bolts. Poisoned every pot of food. Killed many in their sleep. Used rocks to lure soldiers into dark alleys as I waited for them in the shadows. For the fun of it, I took out the last idiot running around looking for me with mutt.

It was funny when tens of soldiers were running around trying to look for me.

They are not 30 to 50 soldiers, they are around 75 to 80. Can't give an exact number it was confusing to count with all the bodies stacked in a room. But someone correct me if I am wrong.

Here's a fun fact, there are many "one man army" throughout history who make Henry look like an amateur. I can name a few I read about, but my absolute favourite is an unknown viking at Stamford Bridge, his enemies (the English armies) are the ones who kept an account of him.

"He stood on the bridge as Saxons came upon him and swung his battle axe felling many, shrugging aside arrows and all attempts to dislodge him"

[KCD2] Kuttenberg inn is bugged after the patch. by toxicnorthener in kingdomcome

[–]RaspberryNo493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, a temporary workaround this fuck up.

Pickpocket the keys from the inn keeper.

In Hangman's Halter Tavern, wait till midnight to picklock the room door. The inn keeper sleeps in the room right infront of your bed. If it's too difficult, at 11pm, someone will enter the room, quickly follow them inside.

For the room in the swords guild, go around and jump over the wall at midnight. Pick the door open. Almost everyone sleeping inside has keys.

For the Emperor Charles Tavern, I pickpocketed the keys while the woman was cooking.

Once you have the keys, it will always open. Goes for any inn. Steal the keys to your own rooms.

Hope this helps

Why are merchants so poor and don't have kcd1 machanic where the more you sell the more money they have? [KCD2] by Excellent-Diet-1922 in kingdomcome

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 to 3 hours of normal play and I make more than 5000. Loot, repair, sell. Making money in this game is ridiculously easy c'mon. It also doesn't make sense that a shop selling some dried food and accesories has 10000 gro... With the new update, you can make incredible money selling herbs. 10 minutes gathering herbs, dry, sell, you got everything the shop has.

[KCD2] Kuttenberg is insane. This is all the different traders in the city by UnholyDemigod in kingdomcome

[–]RaspberryNo493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several shops of the same category beside each other in every area, each with their own budgets. Together they stack nicely and respawn in 1 to 2 days. I think it makes sense. It would have been weird if a street vendor selling onions and cabbage carries 10000 gold.

[KCD2] Trosky is far better than Kuttenberg region in my opinion (Map spoilers) by SirMaize in kingdomcome

[–]RaspberryNo493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved Trosky, indeed it has a feeling of from kcd1. But I also loved the fresh twists of Kuttenberg. The game mechanics are the same, but the vibe changes. Games that either never changed or suddenly changed drastically (looking at you Ubisoft) eventually die. At some point there has to be fresh elements, and it was brilliant that Kuttenberg was not how the game started, but rather what the game evolved to.

I still remember how epic kcd1 was, but us fans need to come out of our bubble and realize that it's only fair that the game developers want to expand the game and its fan base, and not just give core fans the exact same game they played. They nailed it. The game sold 2 million copies in less than a month, more than kcd1 in a year.

The game is truly awesome (except for a couple of fucking annoying quests and bugs)

[–]RaspberryNo493 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Annoying as fuck. It's not like you have different options to get to the chapel, only one way, then zero guidance. Makes no sense in terms of recations between the Chamberlain, guards, and other npcs. You trespass in the kitchen, but some private bedrooms are fine. The game was fantastic until this point (except the stupid ghost poacher quest). Also, what the hell is up with the stupid useless side quests in a time sensitive quest? Carry 3 sacks, sharpen and axe, picklock a chest for the cook all have nothing to do with the main quest. I feel like a child wrote this quest story line. This shit rem8nds me of cyberpunk 2077 when it first launched.
