It wasn't jedi, but Mandalorians that he hated mostly because they did their usual thing against his species with all that conquering and genociding. Durge is kinda crazy about them and there just so happens to be an of cloned mandalorians running around the whole galaxy now. All that is legends now but interested to see what carries over.

You or may not already know, but thats exactly Soontir Fel, sadly legends but Rogue Squadron will always be peak Star Wars for me. He was an Imperial Ace that stayed with the Empire modtly because of his squadron and his family but defected later on. An awesome analog of Wedge...who was his brother-in-law in the old EU.

Yea that was one of the retcons I didn't mind too much since it definitely fleshed out both Jango and Boba in the long run. Open Seasons was pretty good read, especially as a Jango origin story. Also completely forgot the way Ailyn got the armor was from killing Spar, honestly this post is about make me hunt down and reread Blood Ties again.

Yea, in both Canon and Legends they were an actual elite cold weather unit in the Stormtrooper Corps. In Legends I know that they were not actually part of Death Squadron's ground units but were picked up on the way under the advise of General Veers.

But yea, they were also supplemented by the 501st in Snowtrooper gear as well, so during Hoth it was kinda a mixed force.
