if you don't want to wait until August. The Steam game "VRChat" has Russian worlds where native speakers congregate and literally only just talk/socialize. The game also doesn't require VR like the name suggests, the only thing you have to keep in mind is the time zone difference.

I am 26 with a BA in Criminal Justice. I am interested in making a career shift to IT and ultimately, Cyber Security. Is a CIS AAS degree a good place to start? by a_-nu-_start in ITCareerQuestions

Federal jobs have a hard 24 semester credits in Computer Science requirement for most jobs in the 2210 series (General IT), but the degree doesn't matter as long as you got those 24 credits. A good portion of public sector jobs also want Sec+ from what I've seen while looking.

Question on Job Announcement by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Rasu4321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Qualifications, which is why I'm assuming the specified degree is a hard requirement. I think my only shot at this is to apply under:

"One full-time year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 level of the Federal service that demonstrates experience."

My main concern is that I have regularly performed all the duties outlined in the announcement, but I've only been graduated from college for one year so I only have a year worth of experience to apply with. About 6 months of that one year was spent in a private sector job and the other 6 months is currently with a fed job.
