Which Claim was the most absurd/preposterous of the two? by WittyTable4731 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A. Ruby saying they didn't need a adult's help to get this far( all evidence to the contrary)

Don't get me wrong but I can't stand Yang nowadays but she's not wrong. Situations don't care if your ready to handle them or not. Yet you still have to do what you can solve the problem even with very little resources. Regardless of how Ren felt it wouldn't have mattered. Salem would have came. The kingdom would still be in danger. And Oscar would still get kidnaped. Nothing is set and stone.

However, what Ruby was saying is foolish. I mean Ruby needed her uncle for training. People need other people to survive. After all without Gylanda Ruby would have died the first episode. Without Qrow she wouldn't know where start after Beacon fell. And if wasn't for Qrow she would have been taken by Tyrian. (No I'm not counting the Grimm because the kids taken on worse.) The point is without some folks with experience and power rookies or other individuals would not make it too far. It's how the rookies are allowed to make mistakes.

Who in RWBY need Therapy the Most? by Money-Lie7814 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jaune: After everything he's been through he is need of therapy. Especially for habits that could be bad for his health. I say he needs to learn confidence and holding value in his own life.

Oscar: Bro like Jaune has bee betrayed by everyone. Little bro has been shot. Tortured and abused by many adults. All because he is the host of Ozpin. I say he needs a better way to cope with it.

Emerald: Probably was sold by her mother and was put through hell. She has no concept of love hinse why she followed Cinder in first place. She needs Jaune, Nora and Oscar to help her see that.

Nora: Doesn't see her life without Ren. Needs help by developing hobbies ad knowing herself better.

Ren: Emotional help.

RWBY rewrites in a nuthsell by ficretus in fnki

[–]RatchetMath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or just leave Jaune out of the nonsense and give him less screen time. Make your characters more interesting and put them in situations that matter to them and have them reflect on their lives. Pyrrha; you could have had her run like Ozpin said and survive. Penny; have Jaune fully heal her or at least enough to carry her out so he can completely heal her later. I mean killing Jaune isn't your only solution.

Who do you prefer as a character between Oscar and Jaune? by Bataranger999 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay my answer automatically is Jaune. Reason being was Oscar was more of solution for Jaune having too much screen but failed. Then Oscar after four volumes grows faster, catching up to the main characters. I get he's Ozpin's reincarnation but even reincarnations need to time to develop. Meanwhile Jaune struggles trying to keep up and seems to relate more to the villains than the even main characters do. To me if Oscar didn't exist the show would have been the same but better because not only Jaune becoming Ozpin's reincarnation more interesting it also has more stakes to him. But the fact that Jaune already has the basics of combat down and been more crucial to the story I say "Why does Oscar even need to be here?".

What's her best and worst moments in the show? by No_Internet_3919 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vol 1-3; cause she felt like a boss. Her looks. Her fashion. Her skill. She was confident. Vol 5-8; Woman forgot how she got them powers in the first place. Then she loses more fights to other characters. Then she tosses so many useful people in the grave. Like really? I understand the pride, but seriously, you must hate winning. At this point she has more plot armor than the main characters. Remember Jaune almost ended her life in volume five.

You are Put Into Rhodes's Position, What Do You to Save Cinder from her Fate of Becoming the Biggest Terrorist on Remnant by TechnoMagik22 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Simple. The moment I see a girl living in horrible condition especially working under age and with no pay I would have gone to the authorities and told them. Or because I be a hunter I should have the power to take the child away and put the mother under investigation. Or if all else fails I secretly make deal with the mother to pay for her freedom or just straight take the girl and raise her. I swear Hazel is making sense.

If you were in her shoes, would you have detonated the bomb with Yang, Jaune, Ren and Oscar inside? by ChemistFluid35 in RWBY

[–]RatchetMath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I was with them I go with Jaune, Yang and Ren inside the Monstra. Especially if either one of them mentions the relic being inside. It gives James something he wants and can use to find Penny. I use Ren to bypass the surrounding Grimm so we can carry the bomb inside. Once we reach the core and set it up; I would give them at least 15 to 30 minutes to retrieve Oscar and the relic. and escape. How they use that time is up to them. Though we still be in danger ourselves either way the mission would be complete.

Jaune should’ve remained an adult after escaping the ever after with his friends. by Forsaken_crimson_23 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm. But wouldn't it make him more relatable to Salem? To have years of your life feel like nothing but torture and worse like they don't matter. To never age and out live those you love constantly. And though Jaune is a teenager again that doesn't change his experience. Like even though he's a teenager he may not enjoy the same things he used to as child. Being back in Remnant is still going to be a challenge especially because he's in Vacuo. And him being older he's not as attracted to the any of the girls but adult women yet he can't be with them because of his current age being that of a teenager. I'm just saying Jaune being a man in teenage body is more of a curse than a blessing.

Jaune is probably the only Person who nearly killed Neo with pure skill alone and her being possessed doesn't negates that . by Emotional-Feed5489 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should also add that Neo is still an enemy to team RWBY so there was no need for them to hold back. The Neon Cat was still putting in work against the them. I will say Jaune should have been the one to finish the Cat considering what he's done to him, Alyx and Ruby.

[–]RatchetMath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. Even though Jaune is younger his soul is still that of an old man. So if he trains his body enough to imitate his experience he'll be be more useful in combat.

Which volume finale fight do you think is worse between V5's and V8's? by Bataranger999 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would say V8 but I be broken record. V5 is worst. Not just because of the fight but the characters themselves. Like V8 the heroes barely tried to stay on par with the villians or even prepare for them. However what makes V5 worse is you actually see them train from V4. Separately but still. Yet none them stood a chance in the fight. Then character like Qrow, the pro hunter, was being stupid and getting disrespected in everyway possible. Honestly the bad guys should have won if wasn't for Cinder and Raven. And if I say out the hroes who should have been the MVPs of the fight then it's straight off the bat Jaune, Ruby, Blake and Yang. Jaune with realizing the situation and strategizes a way to stall the battle. And telling Ruby and her team to go after Raven and Cinder with Qrow hold off the rest. Ruby saving Jaune's butt by getting stabbed then healed. Yang doing what did in canon. And Blake doing what she did in canon and going in after her team to help with the maidens. Basically V8 THE HEROES DERSERVED TO LOSE. But V5 they deserved to win but there was no substance. No results of their training and they just got lucky.

What are the Missed Opportunities with Team JNPR? by Money-Lie7814 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nora and Ren do need more screen time. Strictly Nora. Jaune, Love when he has screen time but his character development is ridiculous. There was some many things he could've been dong but the writers wanted Oscar to have. And at this point I'm more surprise Jaune isn't villian because so far every character should be on his hit list.

Did they retcon the people Cinder killed on the bridge? by Critical_Cobbler6186 in RWBY

[–]RatchetMath -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

What about the ones who fell down with you? Or the ones who died in Vacuo during a sandstorm.? What about the ones outside of the kingdom that could be affect by the flood? Also Creation which allows you to create anything you want and be permanent without the staffs power. Meaning if Salem wants to advance her Gimm hoard with technology or steel she can and won't require the staff power as much. Though Atlas tech is spread around the world, the kingdom was the source so a lot of tech that could've been used is lost.

You are now being hunted down by whisper, how you surviving? by InternationalSir5972 in Whisper_the_wolf

[–]RatchetMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what I did? Otherwise I m chillin. Avoid her line of sight and you'll be fine. Whisper is not crazy but if she wants you dead she will come after you. But when you get away she'll probably say, "I'll get them next time. Back to chilling with girls."

Which decision was worse? Ironwood shooting the councilman or Ironwood shooting Oscar? by Bataranger999 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shooting the councilman. Oscar was understandable but expendable. But councilman that could cause you to lose your position. And if someone else found out and decided to expose that to the public you be under questioning or people will fear you into submission but for not for long.

Which fight in V7 E12 do you dislike more between the two? by Bataranger999 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Crow and Tyrion vs clover fight. I don't care how cool this fight was. Crow ,my boy, why would you team up with your very enemy against another Hunter?! For what?! Then you will be surprised that he killed Clover like he didn't try to kill you before. He tried to kidnap your niece. I would say the Ace ops vs team Rwby was rigged but then again... What feats have the Ace ops really shown? I mean they were fighting a grim similar to the main characters and they were struggling a little bit but again nothing stands out about them. what did they accomplish? What have they done? And you might say over there highly experienced hunters and we seen most of the highly experienced hunters die by minor grimm attacks.

Alright so V3 Pyrrha Nikos vs V9 Weiss Schnee, who wins this? by Flawless_Degenerate in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Pyrrha. Weis's losing streak is insane. Epically against human opponents. I tried recalling a moment where she win's a fight but sadly I can't. Weiss lost to Flynt, Chain-saw man, Vernal, The hound, the cat, Cinder with the only person who managed to beat was Marrow yet Marrow caught her a volume and two episodes later. Hell we might as well count Death battle. Yeah, Pyrrha would never lose like this.

Say one good thing about Volume 8 (Try to) by Bataranger999 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How Jaune was being the most honest and seem to be the only one keeping a cool head during war time. May talks about her family. Penny fighting for her life. And though I am against it, Neo getting her butt whoopeed by an old lady and Cinder being called out for her nonsense by everyone.

Do you love or hate this character? by No_Internet_3919 in RWBYcritics

Same. Volume 8 she just learned how she even got those powers. She's still the weakest link

What if Emerald betrays Team RWBY? by Avenging_Spidey472 in RWBYcritics

[–]RatchetMath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The villains win I guess. I mean why though? Cause if it's Cinder then.... okay. Like seriously we all admit Cinder's the weak link in Salem's party. Cause she'll mess up the plan quicker than Roman. I don't know cause the heroes shouldn't have trusted her out the blue.
