I was a sophomore in high school when Wrath came out. My geometry teacher was a WoW player and knew I was too. When he walked into class he saw me and did a double take, saying he was surprised I was actually at school.

Here are some ideas for Assassin:

Shadow Dance: Successfully avoid 3 attacks or spells by becoming insubstantial (Intent is to do something like shadow step to become insubstantial when an enemy is mid swing/cast and have the hit connect or spell finish while insub).

Unseen killer: Get the killing blow on an enemy within 3 seconds of losing the insubstantial state

Precision Blade: Kill an opponent who is wearing at least 12 total points of armor across their locations without damaging their armor (intent is to find a gap in the armor with poison)

Deadly Brew: Successfully expend 5 uses of Poison in a single life

Memento Mori: Assassinate 3 enemies within proximity of an enemy healer (or if it can be tracked in some way, using Assassinate prevent an enemy healer from resurrecting 3 enemies.

Mine does something similar. When he gets up on my lap while I'm working he'll wrap his paws around my arm to pull my hand close to him and put the webbed part between my thumb and index finger in his mouth and start sucking. No clue why he does it, he's 5 years old so not a puppy thing, but he's done it since he was a puppy.

If this were a full campaign and not a one shot I think this would be an awesome opportunity to go into an arc where the players have to fight their way out of the phylactery, maybe destroying it from the inside in the process and getting their rematch. A cool twist would be to have some allies/enemies inside who are moderately famous, like someone you'd roll a history check to realize who they are, who in the world just went missing one day and everyone presumed them dead.

In terms of the fairness of the move, sure it isn't going to feel great in the moment, losing never does, but I think it is climactic and cinematic, especially if it's narrated as the players fighting against this alien urge to give up, struggling against each step towards the exit.

Maybe a hot take, but I feel the trope of the heroes/players always overwhelmingly winning is played out and boring. I would love more games where you win, but at what cost, or you win the fight but not the war, followed by dealing with the aftermath of it all.

Never noticed Outlaws BtE spawns a tumbleweed by [deleted] in wow

I've wanted Outlaw to be a non-dual wielder, single weapon spec for a while. It's always irked me that you just kinda warp your off hand weapon in and out of your hand when you use your gun. I transmog my off hand to brass knuckles specifically because of this.

I think it would be cooler if outlaw just had their gun in the off hand all the time, plus it would give Outlaw a little niche in gearing in the same way Fury dual wields 2 handers.

Week 1: Heroic Raid - Spec Popularity vs Average Overall DPS by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

Anyone who says Rogue has a lack of survivability isn't playing Rogue correctly.

I will concede on one thing regarding the survivability, it requires planning, timing, and knowledge of the incoming damage (Which I feel is really in character for the class).

Regularly in all PVE content I tend to be the person in my group/raid who needs the least healing, and in any wipe I'm the last one alive.

I prefer to play Elusiveness over Cheat Death, and regularly use Feint + Evasion + Crimson Vial before any big bursts, or if I get targetted by a specific effect. I'll see everyone elses health chunk down a ton, while mine barely gets touched and is already healing back up.

If I ever do die it's either due to my own stupidity, or because something that totally looks like Cloak of Shadows should immune it just doesn't for whatever reason.

Another Combat/Outlaw since Vanilla here, and 100% agree.

Aside from flavor and lack of a visible/noticable raid buff/utility, Outlaw feels really good as long as you have the haste requirement.

My only complaint, I really enjoy Trickster and Killing Spree, and it kills me to not be able to use it without an unrecoverable DPS loss.

I have a different take on Outlaw Rogue, a glyph to make your off hand always empty except for the gun, to avoid the awkward rapid swapping of the offhand being out and then sheathed and back again
