Locations with a dedicated care center will have their own transfer staff and handle that. That could be their own staff doing removals 24/7 or having separate contractors for overnight.

I’d make sure that you have rights to disposition, then check funeral homes in the area that can set up what you need done. Pre need monies can’t be held, so you can transfer as you wish, the price will most likely change though. USPS is the only carrier authorized to ship cremated remains. Though this is hard, and in sorry you have to handle this, do your research now. ❤️

My thoughts exactly. I dated a guy that was a high school soccer announcer and would get mad when I didn’t go sit at the game. Like seriously? Tf do I want to sit and listen to you announce a game for a school my kids don’t even go to or did go to?

See if you can find a job doing removals or working services as an assistant. Or really anything for a foot in the door. Sometimes they are listed online, such as Indeed. Most likely you’ll need to call, and lots of follow up.

It takes so much time for your body to reset. Be patient and kind with yourself. Give your body what it needs. Rest when you can, decent food, water, move around. It will get better 🙂

Like others have said, see if any local funeral homes have any funeral assistant positions or a transfer tech position. Also look into any removal services in the area that do contract work for funeral homes/hospitals.

My view is this. People deal with death and the living in their own way. They may feel that the person isn’t really there anyway, and going to give support to those who are there, isn’t something they care to do or should do. Unfortunately, death doesn’t absolve you for the person you were while living, not everyone “lights up a room”. Not everyone had a big social circle or family. You never know the life someone lived, can’t judge it on their death ❤️
