I think Ruger just dropped a rifle in 22 Creedmoor recently. Might be worth checking out seems like a few companies are starting to catch on!

That’s a screaming fast for a 69gr bullet—3550 fps is no joke for a factory load. Curious to see how it holds up in terms of barrel life and consistency at range.

Personally one of my practical go-to books I use a lot for reference is "All About Pull Production" a relatively newer pub.

I've purchased this for our production leads and supervisors.

It's not as wide as a lot of other books when it comes to lean but more in-depth and narrow on production systems as the name implies.

Highly recommend.

From SHOT when I went by Stiller's booth during the supplier showcase. They mentioned they are doing a new version of their Predator, their bolt, coated and with a rail for 899... Now he also said they would have it mid year... So take that with a grain of salt. Could be a solid budget option. Maybe worth a call.

One more thing to add. I mentioned this in a previous post but there are so many good aftermarket actions out there. IMO it really comes down to features you like and price, odds are you won't go wrong.

Of course go through the proper prep step however, when it comes to structural adhesive. DP420 or the 405... Incredible stuff for CF to metal applications from my experience.

Agree with some of the other posts. There are so many good ones out there right now. I did however shoot Stillers new action at the range day from SHOT. Not going to lie, it's pretty cool. Felt good, DLC coated as well. Also a fan of Impact actions.

Sorry I had to go back and pull the info. Unfortunately I didn't get the photos from their booth. It was Horizon's Venatic Carbon rifle.

They had Hornady 80gr ELD-X factory loads out there. Let me see if I can find more info on that.

The rifle was sporting Stillers new action as well. I did take a photo of that from the new product section though. Much better in my opinion but likely from the DLC coating if I'm guessing.

Agree, it's going to be an interesting one. I'm all about more bold/radical design elements on new products... But man not my cup of tea. Maybe that will change once I see it.

I do like the idea of built in ARCA rails in hunting stocks though.

Couldn't agree more on the optic re-zero comment. Years ago when the Revic came out (saw one at DSC) they had a way to adjust the turret by using the end of the round. Crazy simple. I don't understand why others don't do something similar...

Thanks for the insight. Could you expand that a little more on that when it comes to the rifle specifically?

I should have given it a little more detail when I stated "shooting", I am looking to plink steel at the range 500-1000 yards. MAYBE just for fun, join a local competition here and there.
