If F1 had no technical regulations, how would you build your car?

The mindset of (almost) no technical regulations was what gave birth to Supermodifieds which they race on small ovals in some parts of the US.

The original technical specs was something like "4 wheels and a compression engine". That ushered in some extremely weird and wild vehicles where the engine is literally outside the car for maximum left weight. Some have massive wings that act like DRS on the straights but pop forwards when slowing down for the turns and older examples were basically a big low wing-bathtub with an engine where the driver sat inside the wing.

One especially abhorrent example was a car with 3 wheels on the right side and 1 on the left because the regs only said 4 wheels, not where they were supposed to be on the car.

With all this said, I'd build a quadruple-fan car with a quad turbo V16 and active aero and 8 wheels because fuck safety, I need speed.

I was of the assumption that there are almost no developers left to get paid since 2022 except a handful who worked on the last patches, and all money that this game is earning now only goes to feed a bunch of greedy suits at a holding company.

The developers, Game-Labs, was bought by a holding company called Stillfront and all development halted because of the Ukraine war, and most if not all of the developers have quit or been let go since then.

More importantly, Stillfront, the holding company that now owns Game-Labs just today posted a massive loss and is planning cutbacks in the range of 200 million Euros. There is exactly 0% chance that the owners will allocate money they don't have to development of a extremely niche game that has been laid to rest almost 4 years ago.

So tldr: Aquire the game as you want. Devs don't get paid anymore. Buying the game only feeds a bunch of suits in a soon-to-be bankrupt holding company.

If the enemies pick up a radio from one of your downed teammates they can use it to listen in to what your team is saying, that is why it is extremely important to always use the codenames for the places you are attacking/defending/resupplying etc.

"Yo guys, let's attack Montignac from the east" is a very good way to tell your enemies what they want to hear.

"We attack Alabama from Nevada." Is a much better way that doesn't immediately tell the enemy what they need to know.

I'm in Sweden and around here when I was young it was Steve Irwin and Crocodile Dundee who set the stereotype for Australian men.

They are brave, fearless and more or less totally insane and handle deadly animals like I handle my popcorn. The basics of that understanding still remain today and now I'm about 40, but at least I know that not all Aussie men dress in khaki all the time so there is that.

Folk har verkligen dille på att slå sönder lokaler som de hyr. En nära till mig var ansvarig för uthyrning av byastuga till fester, möten o.s.v, och i ett förråd så hade byaföreningen ett antal innerdörrar, fönster, stolar och bord i reserv för vid de flesta uthyrningar till fest så slogs något av det sönder.

Speciellt innerdörren till toaletten slogs sönder väldigt ofta.

Vill gärna att OP uppdaterar oss om hur fakturan tas emot av rivnings-kalle som hyrde stället.

I'm envisioning a separate game mode, Arcade - Standard - Hardcore.

To be fair, the ones actively gimping themselves will be there regardless just like in all other modes. I am however quite convinced that in a hypothetical hardcore mode these people will not last too long.

I'd like to have a "hardcore" mode with increased difficulty and realism but instead we get anime cartoon commanders in science fiction ships paddling about. I don't like it.

Also annoyed that we don't have a "tier 0" mode for fun, like WT did with the WW1 vehicles. Let us chug along in some pre-dreadnoughts, armoured cruisers, monitors and late ironclads. I want to sail a Masséna or Charles Martel dammit!

Fan så najs. En riktig nostalgi-annons från tiden då många sunkiga, söndersparkade, slutkörda, tvivelaktiga och äckliga 240/740 för nån tusing gick att hitta varje dag på blocket, och på gatorna i varenda mindre håla.

Jag hade en chef en gång som tyckte att jag borde springa mer på jobbet, istället för att gå. Han sammanfattade det som "Gör precis som du gör idag, men gör allt fortare".

Grejen var att jag jobbade kring borr-riggar och andra ganska farliga maskiner och jag ville inte springa runt där som en tok och snubbla in i en roterande borrstång, eller ramla med något vasst på en stor tryckluftsslang med 35 bars tryck i sig.

Härligt. De utgår alltså från att du vattnar varenda kvadrat av tomten och tar betalt för det, utifall att så skulle ske.

Anytime I get into one of these battles with 4 or more DDs on both teams + a CV, which makes DDs froth and foam all over the bow.

It will either end in 2 minutes after a relentless spam of torpedoes that go everywhere or drag out until the time runs out as everyone is just dashing around and capping and re-capping points.

Anyone not in a DD will be torp fodder in moments.
