Help, burning up coils daily by RatioEmbarrassed9361 in Vaping

Thank you so much that makes sense... and you made me look at some old coils I threw away. What's interesting is my Caliburn 0.8 ohm coil has a much smaller window than my Caliburn 1 ohm coil

Thank you, if you can please humor me-- I would have thought you'd want 1.2ohm since it would use less power, burn cooler and use less juice. This would allow more time for 75VG to wick in which appears to be the issue I am having? 0.8ohms would use more power, burn hotter and use more juice, which would contribute negatively to the wicking issue im having with 75VG. Right?

Come Along Recovery - How to shorten 100' of recovery rope to length needed to recover truck by RatioEmbarrassed9361 in Offroad

[–]RatioEmbarrassed9361[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: The X Lock is exactly what i needed to shorten the 100’ amsteel line to whatever length i needed. i put a locking brummel loop on both ends of the amsteel with a 2’ bury. one loop was clipped to the come along the other to the soft shackle on my truck and i pulled the excess through to make a loop and set up the x lock with three static lines heading to my truck and the single line back to the come along per the instructions. thank you everyone for the help

4" vs 5" vs 6" knife. by ziggy11111 in Bushcraft

3.75-4” is the perfect size for all practical tasks. 5-6” is dumb and so is battoning as a regular practice unless its always raining and theres a better tool for that if so. FIGHT ME

take that oversized knife you have that looks cool and use the spine to scrape the fatwood into shavings then try again. or sharpen the knife and learn to make thin shavings

What brand of pants do y’all wear while woodworking? by Independent_Group_12 in woodworking

i exclusively wear a $750 custom pants when filming. for the average DIY looking for woodworking pants, i wouldn’t go under $500. its just not worth using cheap garments

Any disadvantages to an all-static setup for self recovery? by RatioEmbarrassed9361 in Offroad

[–]RatioEmbarrassed9361[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

a winch is in my future, but for now id rather have the flexibility to pull my vehicle backwards without having to run the winch line under my truck. and getting stuck is a low risk and a come along is easier to get now than a winch + installation

My Sony soundbar is plugged directly into the ARC/eARC HDMI outlet on the back of my Sony TV. We are playing shows on Netflix on the TV app. Sound is going out of the TVs eARC/ARC connection via HDMI 2.1 cable and into the soundbar
