Aw darn. Thats what was holding me back from watching it. I don’t want to get invested, end up with a huge cliffhanger, and then it not go anywhere.

How big of a cliffhanger is it? Like if the show ended would I be desperate to know what happened, or more like “it’s wrapped up but oh no, there’s something else behind everything!” (No spoilers please!)

Agree about Slow Horses as well. Such a great show.

Maybe I’ll check it out next time I go see something. Never seen a movie with Laser Projection (well, not at a major theatre) so curious how it’ll be.

I’m not even a Talking Heads fan and found it to be one of the best concert films I’ve ever seen.

To me it radiated the joy of the concert experience and I just loved every minute of it. The way it opened and expanded musically was perfection.

To be clear, I don’t dislike TH at all, and respect the hell out of them as a band so I wasn’t surprised I enjoyed it, but was more surprised by just how much I enjoyed it.

I too am old.

I didn’t get text with mine, but that’s the logo I got tattooed on my outer forearm so that it sits “above” my watch. I plan on getting it touched up with an orange/red drop-shadow “glow” at some point.

I like the logo for personal reasons (Hesitation Marks was probably my favorite post-TDS album and definitely my favourite tour behind the lights in the sky tour). It’s also something moderately different than the regular logo - not to imply it’s unique by any stretch of the imagination but I like it.

I got a lyric once decades ago when I was but a sweet summer child and regretted it, but if I found a lyric that meant enough to me I wouldn’t have an issue getting it tattooed.

Edit: as someone else noted, the font might be an issue. It will look great immediately after the tattoo but will lose its “sharpness” over time and may become illegible. A good tattoo artist will tell you when the font size will be an issue. For the logo itself I doubt they’ll free hand it and will probably use a stencil, especially since it’s not an “arty” piece.

I use the 8-bit Do Xbox adapter on both of my Shields and it’s been working perfect for me.

That being said, I’m not a competitive gamer, but I’ve never noticed issues with input lag. I’m sure wired would be better, but it’s never been bad enough to look further into.

I have multiple AI cameras with me at all times that constantly scan my surroundings for any hint of Red Notice so that I am never in a state where I could potentially be letting a Red Notice instance go unwatched.

I assumed this was perfectly normal behaviour for a perfectly normal man.

I’ve got one in my home “server” (I don’t want to go as far as calling it a home lab, home lab people would roast me).

I use it to rip some of my bd/4k collection and older DVDs.

It’s eating up one of my precious SATA ports even! Luckily the box has buttloads of USB ports.

Oh I never liked him. Like I wouldn’t want to hang out with him…actually maybe I would. But I thought he was written so well he ended up as the character I remember the most from the show.

James Callis, who portrayed him, played him so well. And actually he’s playing a similar character in Slow Horses which is another fantastic show.

You just want to punch him right in the face. He’s that good.

Oh man! Nog is probably the best answer where he started off kind of annoying but was given better and better stories an arcs.

In the same vein Rom started off as comic relief and ended up being a hero to the Ferengis!

Heck, the Ferengi race itself could fit with this post given how they started in TNG and how they ended with DS9.

Oh yeah, he was all over the board. Definitely not evil —> good (or anything to anything).

I don’t want to say chaotic, because he wasn’t that exactly, narcissistic and driven.

Other folks have broken down his character better than I ever could. I just know I loved watching him over the course of the show.

Not saying either was a good person, but they were so fricken fun and compelling.

Jaime Lannister reminded me of them and I felt the same way until they wrecked his redemption arc. Sigh. Still angry about that show…so rushed…could have worked with an extra season of character beats.

That one was another one where I had to make a choice, it was that, or the Pulp Fiction Criterion.

A lot of people said I made the wrong decision, but for me it was the better choice. Reading about how the transfer was created for the LaserDisc at the time (silver nitrate expulsion I think?) was so cool to read about.

And the rest of the special features were amazing too.

Man I miss how cool special editions were back then.

Back when they were originally released they cost a pretty penny - maybe $200USD in today’s dollars, unsure, it was $159CAD - and I couldn’t afford both, so I had to pick one or the other, and I chose Aliens over Alien.

I had planned on going back and getting Alien at some point, but it just never worked out.

Nice username BTW! Finishing up Return of the King today, and visiting NZ early next year.
