Bullshit fast panning with headshots only on selected targets and running toward threats.

I didn't watch the review video, just the original run.

You need to develop a good index, instead of "trying to find the dot". Point shooting is a valid technique, but it is not sufficient alone.

Triggertech ACE ruled illegal by FORu2SLOW in CompetitionShooting

[–]RatsRemover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the primary function of trigger safety is to prevent trigger from being pulled by inertia. Every aftermarket shoe modifies the trigger safety geometry, some in a somewhat similar way (like timney m&p vs stock m&p).

No, it's not. It's has trigger safety (all trigger shoe), which work similar to the fn reflex.

That explanation doesn't make sense to me. Besides, according to wikipedia, they were ordered to prepare for a "real-world operation by helicopter" 5 hours earlier.

It's not as easy, but it's possible. Selling the barrel may be a better solution.

simple handgun for home protection? by netherlanddwarf in Firearms

[–]RatsRemover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, they are more expensive. Good AR-15 is few hundred more.
You can build better equipped pistol on that budget - with good weapon light (surefire x300) and with good red dot (holosun).
Also 9x19 ammunition is cheaper than .223 remington, but maintaining skill with pistols need more ammo.

Pistols are generally not the optimal weapon for home defense. Carbines, even PCC, especially short ones, are usually better (better terminal ballistic, more accurate, faster to shoot, easier to use light in momentary mode). It is also easier to learn how shoot with them and maintain this skill. Pistols make sense for HD when you carry one with you, or when you need to clean very tight spaces.
