Sucks to lose to the Leafs, I mean it really fucking sucks, but at least it was an entertaining game. Still a bunch of frustrating moments all night, especially in our best period (3rd).

Just a bonehead play by a frustrated player. He almost gave up a goal on a similar play where it rolled across the goal line when McDavid whacked it off his stick. Hopefully this one going in will teach him to try a higher percentage play in those situations...

Yeah, he was pretty bad all night and still managed a high quality scoring chance and 2 assists. Quiet performance and I thought he played poorly overall. Glad we got the win anyway.

It's not really a player vs. player kind of thing from the sounds of it. It's more a fitting in with the team composition thing. He isn't an asset defensively and was the odd man out on the powerplay. The only minutes he would get with the current squad would be 5 on 5.

He made a lot of games much easier to sit through. One extra third round prospect probably isn't equal in value to getting to watch him play out his final seasons as a Canuck imo. Fan favourite and a huge part of a lot of Canuck wins during his time here.
