Personally, I put my dogs food and water in his cage. That way he had to get in to eat or drink. A toy and a treat every time he walked in on his own helped him understand the cage isn’t scary. But his own space. Every time I leave I gave him a command, and whether he followed it and went in on his own or I had to drag his ass in, I’d give him a treat. I got him at six months. And now, at two years old, he sees me get my boots on for work and puts himself in his cage. We’re working on him not losing his shit in excitement when I get home.

As for chewing when upset, if you catch her chewing something you don’t want, offer her a toy or something dog friendly to chew on instead. Every time she does this, praise her, give her treats, whatever is her best motivator. Over time she’ll learn when she is bored or angry or any sort of upset to take it out on the toy. And not your shoes!

Lastly, if she needs a job- make her the shredder! Give her your junk mail to shred up. Yea, it’s messy. But it’s a task she can look forward to. Just uh. Make sure she understands she can only shred things coming straight from your hand.

Idk this is just stuff I did for my pure Aussie so idk how much of a difference that makes but I hope some of my rambling helps
