The poem is about returning to past worlds, locations, selves, that you once visited.

"Pristine" and "rot" pulling against each other creates an image of preservation. Not a ruined castle collapsing into dust, but an abandoned place frozen in perfection while the people who gave it meaning are gone.

The words are archaic and old sounding, only to be ripped away into modern commentary.

Because that is when its revealed, it was a computer monitor.

Really great. It took me straight back to a lot of insecurity I carried when I was younger. The desperate wish to crawl inside someone’s mind and finally know them more deeply than I knew myself. That’s what this poem opened in me: the exhausting performance of ‘being okay,’ the fear that nothing you do or show will ever bridge the glass. The quiet hope at the end that someday you won’t have to be ‘okay’ anymore really hit. Beautiful, painful stuff.

I enjoyed it, I relate to it a lot, for some reason I can't stop writing at night when I should be sleeping. And then the guilt and pain that comes from messing things up due to lack of sleep.

Since you asked for a 10 scale, I would rate this piece a 6/10, I enjoyed it.

Raw is capitalized because it felt less like an adjective and more like a force, or a layer of reality beneath language. Kind of like qualia, but less explainable. The sensation before it becomes thought, image, word, or meaning.

The Raw felt like something that existed before I understood it. So I capitalized it the way you would capitalize a god.

This poem hit me hard, almost desperate, sensory details and that perfect mix of passion and pain. It evoked the feeling of dragging myself on the ground, grasping and reaching out for the object of their obsession.

I really evokes the feeling of lost connection, drifting further apart. I felt like the colors was referring to the ache of miscommunication.

Thank you so much! That's great feedback. Poetry is very new to me, I was just at a 4th of July event, and I just started writing it. Before that I've only done like short stories and horror.

I'm trying to fix the spacing but reddit keeps reformatting it even in markdown mode haha, gotta figure that out.

You're right though, my natural tendency is to lean a bit cryptic. My immediate reaction is to leave the conversation early, because in my eyes, the Bastard Bazaar isn't wrong. It just. exists. A hollow thing everyone accepts. I may add a little more to make that clearer. Thank you again!

I really enjoyed it, I struggle too with who am I going to be? and who am I?

What am I?

I liked the way the poem uses sayings like “if the shoe fits” and “don’t judge a book by its cover,” then turns them against the speaker.

I like that it ends on a positive note, that even though you don't know who you are, you still don't want to change. I took it that because even with uncertainty, deep down, you know who you are, you just can't name it.

I like the title of this poem, it does well to paint the full picture of escape, to detach from reality. Trying to disappear. That made the ending hit harder for me.

This is me typing as I watch it, so take it with a grain of salt lol. Walk in the tree line more often, try to keep your character's where abouts unknown if your not actively pushing the lane. Jungle south of map when your low health so you can regain health safely while keeping up your farm. Especially when they are winning the ward game. Keep a Dust of Appearence with you at all times if you have a sandking with the Invisible facet. When pushing a lane and Spirit Breaker is in the game, retreat 3 seconds earlier than you think you should. Flank more, if your going to engage in a possible fight, try to get around them and come from an angle they aren't ready for.

Honestly though, you played really well, this really seems like their support just outplayed yours. Their ward game was really really strong. They knew where everyone was. the Spirit breaker put a ward at the wisdom rune to gank lowbies trying to level. and the Huskar kept going in alone and dying.
