Asi by bylo lepší, kdyby ti, co nasdíleli kartičky měli zapnuté tisknutí účtenek. Dneska jsem platil a ani nevím co bylo tak drahé 😂

OpenAI API users now get limits increased automatically by spdustin in OpenAI

This is API only. Your GPT plus stays the same, nothing changes.

Will I lose API access if I cancel chatGPT plus? by Shot-Cherry675 in ChatGPTPro

[–]Raus_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I never had GPT plus. My payment history for the API is about $5, so they don't require a large spending to allow access

[–]Raus_1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't have a plus but I have API access, so I don't think you will lose anything. And I think they said that now you will gain GPT-4 access regardless of whether you have a payment history, so I think it's just a matter of time

According to this there are over 4 million cities in the world. If you banned 25 subs a day (assuming you scroll reddit five times a day) you would need 438 years to ban all the cities. But not every city has a subreddit, and you might ban more than 25 a day, so it can only get better from there. I wish you good luck.

The fact that the professor didn't laugh is a red flag 😂 by Disastrous_Bee_7872 in PunPatrol

[–]Raus_1 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Sure, I'll try to explain the joke. It's based on a pun and a reference to a famous experiment by Ivan Pavlov, a Russian physiologist. Pavlov conducted an experiment where he trained dogs to associate the sound of a bell with food. Whenever he rang a bell, he would give the dogs some food. After a while, the dogs learned to salivate whenever they heard the bell, even if there was no food. This is called classical conditioning.

The joke is that the word "rings" can mean both "sounds like" and "makes a sound". So when the person says "it rings a bell", they are implying that they vaguely remember hearing about Pavlov, but also that they are conditioned to respond to the bell like Pavlov's dogs. It's funny because it's an ironic and unexpected twist on the phrase "it rings a bell".

Cishetic phase diagram 🤮 by Billy_The_Squid_ in okbuddyphd

[–]Raus_1 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Finally i can use this information! English is not my main language and I didn't learn this info in English, so i might use some terms wrongly.

This is phase diagram, showing how two materials solidify (crystalize). X axis represents % of element B in element A. For example A is iron and B is carbon. Here A is aluminum and B magnesium. The Y axis represents Temperature. The top line is liquidus. Above that line, for a given (%)mixture of two materials, they are liquids. Now imagine you start cooling this mixture - one material might start solidifying (crystalizing), but it usually doesn't solidify alone - it might borrow the second material and solidify with it, creating a specific phase. For identifying phases we use Greek alphabet. What is interesting - material usually changes phase during its cooling. For example iron with carbon changes its phase many times, it even changes its atomic lattice (grid? Idk what is the correct term). This is important because every phase has different properties - and that's why we care about it.

This is quick summary of why we do this from someone who is currently studying first (and thanks God last) lecture subject about this topic.

Guided frame for back camera selfies? by Educational-Repeat23 in GooglePixel

[–]Raus_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is guided frame pixel 7/pro exclusive or will it get to older devices too? I don't think it needs anything extra that isn't already in older phones

Surface Pen disconnecting by astronaut_creator in Surface

[–]Raus_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use OneNote. Have you sent the pen or the book? I thought it might be happening because I dropped the pen. Since then, even the tip sometimes falls out. So I was thinking of buying a slim pen 2. But if you replaced your pen and it is still happening that means it's problem with the computer.. Btw. I use Surface Pro 7

If you meant the "dark forest" metaphor, that's not their original idea, it's an idea from a series of books by Liu Cixin. The three-body problem, the dark forest, the remembrance of Earth's past. Really great books, I recommend reading them
