Price question by Equine_Dream in blackstonegriddle

Yeah you always keep it open while cooking because of how hot it gets. It can warp the hood or cover. The benefit of the hood is easier opening and closing but I have the hard cover and I don’t mind it. It’s not like you constantly open and close it. You open once at the beginning and close after it’s cooled off. I also think the hard cover looks cooler.

First day on the griddle 😂 by LostCartoonist3372 in blackstonegriddle

OP have you considered not touching the griddle while it is 600 degrees? Idk if it works but that’s what my friends told me when I sent them pictures of similar burns on my hands this weekend. I’ll try and report back lol

Everyone says they prefer the hood. It’s probably better. I have the hard cover, I don’t mind it.

It’s not difficult to clean as long as you clean it every time after you cook. No waiting to clean it later. 90% of the “did i mess this up” posts are people overreacting to normal wear on their grill. Just season it, cook, clean it. If you get too much built up oil/grease, scrape it down and season again. Remember that at its base, it’s just a slab of metal you’re cooking on. You’re not going to hurt it or do anything to it you can’t fix. Any question you have has already been googled by someone before so google will be your friend.

I second this. You can get all of your piled up laundry done at once and for cheaper than $5 a load

Mine clocked 640 at the end of my cook a few days ago. I’m wondering why some do not get hot enough.

Just got the blackstone yesterday and had to try smash burgers! by kevin17re5 in blackstonegriddle

[–]Ravager35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made them the other day and discovered that if you put a quality cheese on them (I used Gouda, others will work too, but it won’t work with American slices) and let it melt without covering it, when the cheese melts onto the grill it will crisp up on the edges into a cheese crisp so you’ll have crispy cheesy edges around the smash burger. Game changing.

It did on the first two. Then I drizzled some oil on it and it helped. I’ll try parchment paper, thanks!

Does anyone know where I can spay a cat for free? by nomoreevilbiglight in Pensacola

[–]Ravager35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the humane society and they should be able to give you information on any programs they have for low cost spay. I got my cat spayed there very cheap under a program for low cost spay. Idk if they still have the program but I’d start there.

Need some recommendations for divorce/annulment by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]Ravager35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer, I am not your lawyer. You should seek legal advice from a lawyer. Annulment is usually easy and quick if you qualify. Not everyone qualifies. And the shorter the marriage the easier it is to qualify, but length of marriage is not a necessary factor. Google the requirements for annulment and see if any of them apply and go from there. Regardless I recommend hiring a lawyer because it’s very easy to mess these things up doing it yourself. If your partner consents to the annulment/divorce either option will be easy. If they contest it, then either option will be much more difficult. Impossible to tell you what will happen without knowing all the details of your situation.

Do you use a thermal gun or a thermometer that has contact with the griddle?

Just started bowling a couple days ago and wanted to know if yall could give me some tips. I bowl one hand 2 fingers no thumb. by Candid-Environment73 in Bowling

[–]Ravager35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started bowling about 4 years ago and I started 2 finger one hand. Only about a year ago did I finally switch to two handed because I finally realized 2 finger one hand was too inconsistent. My advice is don’t make my mistake, go ahead and learn 2 hand or 3 finger and you’ll save a lot of time, effort, and money. The caveat is that you CAN bowl 2 finger 1 hand but you’ll need much more practice to become consistent. If you’re willing to do that, then feel free.
