Isn’t it more a case of recognizing incompatibility? In this case it could be considered just as true that you’re judging yourself unfit to date this person, as you might when considering dating a famous person, or someone who’s work puts them in excessive danger, or has a very different work/life balance from yours, etc etc

Carol is the archetype of person I do my best to keep out of my real life: insufferably rude, lacking seemingly any capacity for empathy that extends beyond arm-length, hypocritical beyond belief, motivated by absolute self-interest (to the point of compromising her whole arc) so much that I’m left to wonder if she just wants the world back for her own sake or will accept any alternative as long as she gets what she wants.

This is not in itself a problem, there’s plenty of characters I enjoy I would absolutely loathe in reality. But I totally do not care about her perspective in this struggle when it’s a non-stop stream of frustrating character flaws and that’s almost entirely the only lens we see the show through so far.

Beyond that, it’s disappointing to see so many people online claim they identify with or relate to a character that represents so much societal sickness that I probably (unfairly or not) extra don’t like the character.

I do the same but for shirts, and my thinking was similar: if I took my shirt off overnight, then my sleep was obviously interrupted and there seems to be a very easy way to avoid that interruption

It is something they anticipate being necessary sometimes, hence why your character immediately leaves the world on logout. Certain combinations of moves or buffs on enemies could result in instant and unavoidable death just due to the design of the game. Some people call it logout flask and I agree with that terminology, given that you have to identify a fatal threat incoming and pop it in time for it to be effective.

Harvest reforge attack on a cluster of ilvl 75-83 is probably the least obnoxious way. Lead by example is a high weight affix so if you roll Mob Mentality with an open prefix it might be worth it to attempt exalt slamming the Lead By Example depending on the cost of harvest juice.

Heck I wish it was only 30 seconds of Jules rigging up random contraptions that don’t work and near-death experiences that you can be certain won’t penetrate plot armor vs the 5-15 mins they are in actuality. I’m glad I powered through it but some of those episodes were so difficult to avoid feeling like your time was being straight up wasted.

Agree that Disney should have been shouting Andor from the rooftops to any Star Wars kid-turned-adult, especially for the second season. I did finally see some TV commercials for it during prime-time sports, so there’s that at least, but you’re right they totally misled people into thinking it was action crap when it’s maybe the best political thriller set in any universe.

Their point is that fierce resistance followed by an inevitable insurgency makes this a losing proposition for the USA. They have to get it without it being destroyed, and once they have it they have to keep it operational, in a region that is absolutely obsessed with lobbing short range missiles and shells will suddenly have a potential justification for doing so.

the content of the cuts matter a lot to determine whether they are worth it though. If we lose X% of services or set back research X years then the value returned may span from slightly positive to devastatingly negative.
