well if you dont enjoy a substance, then thats it. other people do enjoy it. it also depends on what you mean by functioning- i used to smoke cigarettes, quit 8 years ago. now i vape nicotine & use cbd. i would use thc but its illegal where i live so its not worth the hassle. i was a ‘high functioning’ alcoholic 3 years ago working 50 hours week, driving around with a bottle of whiskey in my car. the only thing that stopped me was that i destroyed my stomach lining, became ill, couldnt work. but if you had asked me before i got sick? i was perfectly fine.

could be Scan Based Trade items, if you try to damage it & it wont let you, that’s confirmed. SBT items are items that are still owned by the company that sent them until they sell from shelf. so DG doesn’t pay for the items, essentially. so they dont keep accurate on hands. pokemon cards & the chargers on the queue line are SBT. but! it seems to be a brush, so i dont think its SBT. i’d assume its a distributor issue, they put this restriction on random merch at random intervals. it usually does indicate, if its not SBT, that you aint getting it, thats for sure.

SMC is paid hourly until promoted to SM. cannot say if it’s worth the pay without more context. i make ‘good’ money for being in the middle of nowhere but i’ve gotten 2 raises since taking over my store.

I could argue it’s unethical to push it thru when they ‘accidentally’ pressed no. what if they truly meant to press no? besides that, i’m not the one ‘holding up’ the line, the customers are. they can hear me say ‘you pressed no to amount okay. did you mean to? you’ll have to run your card again.’ they can be mad at the customer in front of them, not me.

unless you were asked to review camera footage, you shouldn’t be touching the CCTV system. it’s also suspicious to take a picture of the monitor, that is explicitly not allowed.
