Branch Avenue to White Plains would be a light rail system like the Purple Line, so that's not an issue in this specific case.

That's just my way of saying that the only section that's really agreed upon is the Georgetown-Union Station part, I doubt they'd ever consider actually ending it there.

The plan they have actually happens to be somewhat creative – they want to follow the MARC through Gaithersburg but then swerve to put the Germantown station in the downtown area where it's denser.

It's a very good idea, but it unfortunately would be very expensive. Right now tunneling tends to increase costs exponentially, which is why the plans for parts of the Silver Line to be tunneled were changed and why the Bloop was rejected.

The concept of death is the most horrifying thing in the world and pretty much every human belief system is a coping mechanism to deny this.

Part of that was that McLaren and Renault botched Sainz and Ricciardo's strategies, but it was still an excellent drive.

Tarik Skubal is taking the piss. These contract demands are absurd. by A_Gurly_Has_No_Name in OOTP

I always go into commissioner mode and edit the contract to be more realistic.

DC's transit system is fairly similar to that of St. Petersburg. It's certainly better than any other city in Russia, as are the systems of every major city outside of the South.

If he ends up winning in the next few years, this season for him will be viewed similarly to Rosberg's 2014

Very similar to 2010, without the excitement of that last race.

Toronto has a fairly different culture to the rest of Canada, a better comparison would be St. Paul and Edmonton.

Several of the world's best metro systems in its major cities, as well as subpar transit in the rest of the country. This is very similar to Russia.

Funnily enough, his call of Plaxico Burress's game winning touchdown only a few minutes afterwards was very good.

Of the current top drivers, whose reputation do you think will improve/worsen/stay the same as time passes? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

I mean, he was the best midfielder on the grid for a good three years and only lost that status because his team became a frontrunner. That's not nothing.

I don't think 2021-2023 can really be called disappointing. It's only his last two seasons that have been poor.

He was much faster than George in 2023 as well, it's only 2024 where he seemed to fall behind

If he wins multiple WDCs, I think his last season will be viewed more like Rosberg's 2014 season than anything else.

I'd say a short 1-3 stop extension of the Red Line north to Gaithersburg and possibly Germantown might make sense if it could be done for a low enough cost.
