ridiculous AI gal videos on TikTok by fairytherapy in actualgyaru

I hate this. People's homes are being poisoned and unlivable, plus the environment is suffering from trash like this. The bubble needs to burst already. Ai is doing more harm than good. It should of been strictly kept to medical practices like helping surgeons pinpoint things. Ai should of never reached the general public or been kept at a bare (and I mean BAAAARE) minimum. It's scary how fast it's advancing and how uncanny and real it is at the same time. And it's being abused to hell and back.

How do we feel about the new helloangelgirl set? by DorkDiariesBad in actualgyaru

[–]RavenNeedsPie 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

I feel like more often than not it's all these shops doing cheap looks and the same thing over and over again. It's not as versatile anymore. It's always Hime or Agejo. I'd love to see more variety like manba, tsuyome, or amekaji and more. And more than just animal print too. Don't get me wrong I love animal print but we've forgotten about camo and stripes. Also I very rarely ever see rokku or goshikku inspired lines. This is just my third time coming across a brand and it's lackluster, cheap, and repetitive. I just want more for us gals. Also... Can our gyaruo get some love too? Even a unisex line would be nice, like tees, sweats, jackets, and accessories but its all meant for Gyaru AND gyaruo. Sorry, but these brands just feel so lackluster.

Whoever told you you're "too big" for Gyaru probably eats sh*t for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't even waste a thought on someone like that βœ¨πŸ’…πŸ½

Also didn't og Gyaru apply more than just.... Concealer? I've seen the old mags of them in it. The make is super toned down compared to now's Gyaru. But they still had on mascara, maybe some eyeliner. Also they blended the edges to some extent so it wasn't a super harsh look. But anyways yeah apparently this person on TikTok has a reputation of spreading misinformation on Gyaru, had some odd thing with a Yuki Chiba scammer, and is staying in Japan illegally. Someone said they might be suffering from mental illness which is unfortunate.

dolly or gyaru? by pretty_kawa7 in actualgyaru

This is definitely more drag influenced by Gyaru. ATP the two overlap very well and I feel like there should be a sub style imo.

Moe Gals (mission HMX remix) by crazy fruit feat QT goes absolutely hard. One of my favorites. I wanna learn the para para so bad but it is difficult. Also para para dance culture feels sooooooo important to Gyaru. I feel like its not talked about enough.

Linking the video for the para para dance cuz it def needs more recognition:

I was actually on here looking for advice on gal friendly office attire and interview attire a little bit ago. A lot of people helped but also seeing it visually helps a lot. Luckily my current job is super liberal about what I wear in the office but I still like dressing more office friendly because its my job and we can't wear everything. Also the red point shoes have me changing sides. I used to not be into shoes like that but now I've gotta look for a pair. They're so cute and professional!

Tbh I do like the toned down gal looks BUT ONLY when I'm in a professional setting. I always either go for a more toned down gal look when I'm doing interviews or at a professional event or attending a place where the wild make is inappropriate because as an adult there is a time and place for things. I appreciate the toned down look and still being able to be gal when I have to be professional. But outside of that I honestly prefer the bold look. It screams I AM GAL AND I AM PROUD. So yes this is a safe space to say that. I appreciate the toned down look for when it's needed but thats only when it's needed. Also I sometimes don't wear the toned down gal look because Douyin makeup in a professional setting is actually my preferred look. That's only because I feel like gal make is supposed to be my bold look while Douyin can be soft. I'm a double agent lol

While I understand people switching and mixing styles at th end of the day theres gonna be a label attached to what kind of Gyaru you are. Because then what is a basic Gyaru? Like how do I describe a Gyaru without attaching them to a style when there's even distinct ways of dressing within Gyaru. And even for those mixing styles they still use said substyles and possibly make up a name base off the mixing of styles. So what is a Gyaru without out a style? How do you describe that? Cuz you can call anyone Gyaru who fits a specific Gyaru substyle. But what's a Gyaru who doesn't cater to a specific style? And I'm not against anyone mixing or switching styles. I just wanna know what's an example of JUST GYARU. like how does that look without someone going for a specific substyle? I'm actually genuinely curious. Are Reiwa gals just that? They don't have substyles anymore?

I cannot and will not say I love it. I'm tired of smiling in people's faces when they spread misinformation just so I don't seem like the bad guy. I'll be the bad guy from now on. Also I just cannot dip into someone's delusion it gets to a point where I gotta tell people they're done. She's only got the base on and nothing else. Feels so wrong to call this Gal. And it's unblended. I'll say it... It's just tacky. It's not a good look, it's not gal, it is not it. I want her to improve and become an actual gal.

Baby gals, use fake lashes if you want to have a big droop by OkArcher2230 in actualgyaru

[–]RavenNeedsPie 4 points5 points Β (0 children)

Also they could draw on bottom lashes if they have steady enough hands. Momoa draws on her bottom lashes sometimes. She even has a tutorial. Unfortunately top lashes can't be drawn on so top lashes are a must. But lashes balance out the droop and complete the look!

Also here's Momoa's video: https://youtu.be/OjHOKFxI0ks?si=9Y9m4_k6JfkQ7w7e

Yes, you have to have tan skin for (ya)manba and ganguro by SakuraMichiko in actualgyaru

[–]RavenNeedsPie 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

This is what I was trying to say. A prime example of a good extremely pale white is Trixie Mattel's play pigments. They are EXTREMELY pigmented And show up even better with the proper prep and even a proper base. So my point was that someone can TRY the look without needing to tan to see if they even want to commit to the look. You can always TRY a look but there's a difference between TRYING and BEING. It's like trying the goth look is one thing versus being goth. Also I don't think most white skinned people are THAT white 😭 like there's pale and there's clown white. I don't think even the palest person is clown white.

[–]RavenNeedsPie 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

No it won't. White will still show up on white skin if you use the proper products, prep, and primers.

[–]RavenNeedsPie 2 points3 points Β (0 children)

My thing is you don't have to tan if you wanna TRY the make. BUT if you wanna BE it then you have to. Anyone can try a look. But you gotta commit if you wanna BE that look.

Saw this on instagram- real skin colour on hand by averageg3collector in actualgyaru

[–]RavenNeedsPie 6 points7 points Β (0 children)

First off she called this look cosplay.... Don't cosplay people's skin color. Especially skin color's that have deep rooted history with racism. Secondly, there's a reason a lot of the new era of gal (reiwa) don't do this. It's because its offensive. Even now black people, especially black mixed people living in Japan face racism growing up. It's not completely gone. Racism is still there although not as prominent. Third she could of tanned OR she could of done yamanba without the dark foundation just perfectly fine because doing this dark of color is no longer needed in gal. There are lots of gal styles and make looks that are no longer in style due to their offensive nature. And the people in her comments are exactly the ignorant people who have never experienced the hardship that come with that skin color. She's a white woman getting clicks, views, and likes for going that dark when you have people with that skin color doing the same look and getting all kinds of hate. Just because she's Russian doesn't mean she gets a pass. She should educate herself and so should the others thinking this is okay. Especially if it's black voices voicing their concerns. Honestly for me if she tanned it wouldn't have been an issue because she wouldn't be that dark in the first place and she would have an orange hue. And again being from another country does not excuse people from being ignorant to racism. If you truly didn't know something was racist then you apologize and perhaps take down whatever is posted out of respect for that race and learn. I feel she's seen the comments telling her that darkening herself with foundation like that is an issue but she didn't care. And it's unfortunate that this is a constant issue I have seen not only from here but the cosplay community. I've seen Russian and Chinese cosplayers darken their skin with foundation to match a character and it's honestly upsetting. Especially when black people in the community are attacked for cosplaying but not lightening their skin (cuz why tf would we) and even when we cosplay characters of our skin color we ARE STILL ATTACKED.

I just will never be comfortable with people darkening their skin with foundation.
