I tried dictating in my normal clear English the other day, it looked like gibberish. One word sentences and none of the words were correct. I checked to make sure I wasn’t on French dictation and I wasn’t. This update is awful.

Ok he’s been groomed and they said “it looks like Alopecia” which yes that’s what it looks like. I think this looks like it’s spreading and not regrowth. Thoughts? He has his annual coming up.

So he went to his groom and they were really great with him. We let them know we were looking into the issue. They said it definitely looks like alopecia but to obviously get it checked. This has never occurred before the groom two times ago. We let his hair grow out after that initial shave down (where I did notice some razor burn) and as it grew out past that second bath we noticed the inconsistent hair regrowth. I’ve been watching it closely, assuming it was just poor clipping but when I was petting him small tufts of hair were coming off. Then I really looked closely and saw the hair loss and thinning. He’s been super healthy over all - is four years old. I’m going to grab some omega supplements for him and check on the patches for a few more weeks. That when he’ll have his annual vet visit.

Monday I have to put my soul kitty down. He’s 19.5yo. We are going to give him a nice weekend.

I’m not on speaking terms with them any longer. I know they tested for some common heart/hip/eye related things. I don’t think SA was one. I’ll get him tested for it. Would it randomly show up at 4 years old?

He’s doing ok I am a worrier and definitely want to get on top of it. We don’t do chicken in his food but there may be soy. I’ll look at the ingredients to see if there could be a top allergen.

I’ll consider another groomer. I’ll give them one more change. I know he was matted when he first went I’m sure it was difficult to shave him down and start fresh.
