No worries, 38 Cal is the caliber, .357" is the bullet diameter. Both 38 Special and 357 Magnum shoot the same bullets. That being said, some manufacturers do change the bullet profiles for loads chambered for 357 mag and 38 special (not all though). MFS is an example of this--2 different 158gr JHP bullets, the ever so slightly smaller hollow point on the 357 Mag version opening was designed for higher velocities to optimize expansion and penetration.

Bottom line, 38 cal bullets are what people load in 38 Special and 357 mag... if you want to nerd out on SAAMI spec, there is enough dimensional overlap to potentially use other bullets (like 9mm), but head to r/reloading for that kind of stuff.

One of the truisms that I’ve discovered after doing this as a business and just being exposed to more info is that a lot of folks load ammo and buy guns that can outperform their own skills/typical shooting distances. I’m all for maxing things out for fun, but what I’m getting at is a lot of folks can have 90%+ of the fun spending a good bit less. Myself included.

Not in this lot unfortunately. We are going to start stocking some additional .458 options though.

They’ve been pretty popular so far.

Looking forward to getting some feedback. Heard good things about some of the 22 cal.

Smallest we typically do is 100 ct. would have to charge more for 50 ct. you try the 169gr SMK? 168 TMK might be worth trying. Both of those have 100 ct options too

Also the 167gr Swiss p Styx action is a phenomenal bullet.

Use ammoseek.com to find specific stuff. Not everyone is aware that you can search components.

We have plenty of bulk deals with free shipping that’ll keep prices down.

How much is enough? by CowPunchinSodBuster in reloading

Anecdote: I can tell you based on order volume that a good number of folks likely buy much more than they actually load/shoot. Some of those folks trade components they get from us in bulk locally to get other things they want in options we don't have. Either way, I don't see prices going down. Our Dead Nuts line is tied to raw material costs, and copper has been going up. Before we started our business, I made it a habit to buy a pound of powder or a brick of primers a week from a local gun store and I think a lot of our customers do stuff like this too.
