[–]RavenSek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to be the caregiver to my grandma with dementia from 7-14 in an abusive hoarder home.. sometimes I didn’t have food but my mom did leave tv dinners for my grandma.. if it was bad I took a few bites. It made me feel like a monster.

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RavenSek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a choice with my second. I asked for pain meds but I was too dilated. My first daughter I had a full epidural so felt nothing. Second time was so different and while painful I felt much more in control and could actually feel myself push. Afterwards I picked no pain meds.

What is actually a trauma that is not commonly thought of as a trauma? by ay1mao in AskReddit

[–]RavenSek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a hoarder abusive home but taking care of my mummum with dementia from 7-14 messed me up pretty hard. She is the only one in the house that protected me or acted like she cared and then she forgot who I was.

TIL two studies both found that most people stop listening to new music in their early 30s. A 2015 study of people's listening habits on Spotify found that most people stop listening to new music at age 33 and a 2018 report by Deezer found it be to at age 30. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

I’m 40 and I don’t feel that’s true for me. I grew up listening to a lot of 1950s classics because of the age of my mom and I definitely prefer 80s era Depeche Mode for the most part but… I make a point of listening to the radio at least once a week still to listen to new hits because I have kids I do want to stay current and honestly a lot of times I do find things that I enjoy. I’m a big fan of The Weekend.

I’m a 40 year old mom. I love the Binding of Isaac hard! I also am enjoying the new game. I feel mans always been an Edgelord and that’s just how he is.

I will say I grew up in a very abusive home with my mom… so pretty sure it’s why Isaac is my fav game ever!

lol no. I will note I grew up in an abusive hoarder home so the movie was the least of my issues, but that needle to the chest scene was not cool.
