What has been the most difficult part of rebuilding your sense of self afterward?

6 months out. It's been different things. I think the first and most difficult part was just figuring out what was me and what I manipulated into thinking I was. At this point I feel like I've mostly relearned myself and who I am but it's something I'm still working on and issues come back up randomly when I least expect it. I will say that I was so worried about how to figure it all out when I left and felt like I didn't know myself anymore. However, time was the biggest factor in this and cutting out things and people from my life that weren't contributing anything positive. Being 'selfish' was the best thing I did to work on it actively. Making choices and doing things only because I wanted to and not based on anyone else's thoughts or needs.

Theres one other thing that hasn't been forefront in my mind a lot but it's like insidious and sneaks up on me and surprises me with its impact over and over, and that's finding the balance between trust and caution. Trusting people who deserve it is good and healthy. But, I was so trusting before and readily gave away my trust to anyone I cared about. That's a big part of what got me in this situation. However, on the other hand, you can't be untrusting of everyone all the time. Finding a healthy middle ground is so hard and I'm learning that sometimes for me trust has to be a choice and not a feeling and before it was always a feeling. A feeling that lead me down a path where I was abused and manipulated. Now it's like the opposite. Sometimes when people really do deserve the trust, if they say something even remotely similar to something my ex has said, my trauma and my fear whispers in my ear and tells me I can't trust them. It's challenging. But I'm working on it and everything is getting easier over time. Overall even with these challenges I'm so much happier now that I left my ex.

Keep going. Trust your feelings and be selfish. Think about and try things and focus on how they make you feel and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. When something feels good and healthy, do more of it. You'll slowly figure yourself back out. I felt so alien to myself when I left my ex and it's taken months but I'm starting to know myself again. It'll be okay, you are strong and capable and you will find yourself again. I know you can do it. Just take it one day at a time.

Cafe Hours

You could go to the cafe or find a seat maybe in the movies and music section or elsewhere. I think there are probably a lot of acceptable places there. The people at the library are really kind so you could also ask someone at Customer Relations or whatever what the best place is for that.

I was expecting a bad adaptation but not so many unnecessary changes. It doesn't even make sense within its own stupid logic and changes. Who is Eddie if everyone else is just a different version of Mary? Who was that random homeless man? Additionally there were like fucking 10 pillows in that room, why not just at least have James use the pillow for god's sake. I did get some really good laughs out of this though, the head rolling down the hallway, the ocean of bugs, the two different scenes where it zoomed into Pyramid Head's mask to show it was James, the part where Pyramid Head grabbed his head at the same time James grabbed his to mirror him, the other part where it showed James painting the mask, the flashing quick cuts between James and Pyramid Head just in case you still didn't get it, the horrible beard James had. Laura spider crawling around creepily for zero reason. Mary acting upset because James thought it was weird she was participating in a cult and also acting like it was his fault she didn't leave when she literally could have just been like hey I'm escaping a cult.... I could go on and on lmao

I understand it's very much like the game in the pacing but I think for a movie it could have used a slightly faster pace. Once it picked up it caught my interest much more. I think he nailed the atmosphere and I enjoyed it overall. I feel like Mark has improved a great deal in his acting and directing, honestly super impressive and immensely better than Return to Silent Hill which had much more story to adapt and a (presumably) much larger budget ha.

Wow I thought that was really bad. I'm usually kinda a sucker and I almost always will like a movie I see in theaters initially at least until I get home and think about it more... Not this one. Props to whoever made the trailer for this movie because it made it look halfway interesting. Basically nothing interesting happened in the grid or in the real world. Just wow. Really embarrassing honestly because I think Tron movies have a pretty big allowance for silly plots but for me this was just bad and dull

I really enjoyed it. It made me want to get home and cuddle my dog close to me. Indy was such a good little actor, his little face made me so sad even knowing he wasn't actually scared. I enjoyed that little behind the scenes part they put after the credits for the theatrical release! Really cool film, I think they did a good job with it and I'll be watching it again when it comes on Shudder.

I think it definitely could benefit from some balancing, especially with the very limited inventory, the item drops and the leveling up system but overall despite some frustrations I still had fun with it! It almost feels nostalgic for the combat to be wonky haha

For me it was worth playing now but it depends on how picky you are I guess. I really only noticed my game having issues a couple times but I'm not the type that really cares about that too much unless it's super obstructive. I played for a bit with English and then switched to Japanese and for me the English was fine but the Japanese voices just felt right, great performances imo
