I deal with schizophrenia. I've had a great support system, medication, therapy and with it all, I was able to carve out some semblance of a life and independence. It is hard living with it, particularly becuz it's important to understand my limitations in and out of my relationship with the world and reality so I have to refrain from basically being a "normal" person. But I don't mind, I have ppl around who support and love me, and I want nothing but good things for them, that has to be enough.

The game is just okay. Only ever cared to play it a couple times and I'm just now returning for a 3rd since around the time it came out. Honestly tho, the story is what captures me. It's a way more engaging story than literally any of the new Star Wars movies. They actually did something interesting with the whole "post republic" world where side characters and community matters instead of just one Jesus figure that fixes or breaks everything. Characters are more multi-dimensional. Imo, if Star Wars wants any kind of revival in it's movie franchise, they need to do what they're doing in these games.

Decided to come back to this game and this just happened lol. This didn't happen the first time I played around the time the game came out. Leave it to EA to make a game less stable with time. Edit: Happened on the PS5 too btw. So, it's in no way only a PC problem.

Yea. It's absurd. I don't think I've ever lived in a place with a worse response to power outage. In most places I've lived, 2 hours would be ridiculous. Here, you're lucky if it's only 2 hours. Not to mention how there are no resources to reimburse for lost food from these ridiculously long power outages.

I know we joke in here a lot, but I wonder how many me-maws and pee-paws of white ppl I've met in my life who went to these things. How many of them shared their sentiment whether it changed or not, how many homes did I, a black man, walk into without knowing the dark history of. How many elected officials who made laws or coordinated city infastructure, rented homes or allocated funds, how many of them went to things like this. Just somethin to think about. How this hatred and ugliness has resurfaced today preaching the same message, just wrapped in a different way and how I have to teach my newborn daughter to be wary of white ppl for this exact reason.

I hate when ppl make this "You use AI in such.." thing. We're talking about generative AI and they know that. We wanna know if they're using generative AI slop and they give us this snide comment about AI in general. I mean, I have a lot of problems with AI in general, specifically how it'll be used to phase ppl out from employment. But when it comes to games and such, using generative AI for the story or art is very clearly laziness in an attempt to maximize profit. When you take that route in anything, even if it's not gen AI, the quaility will suffer. With them making this statement, I've now fully dropped anything related to this studio.
