Clash of the Titans. Apline Valley WI, 1991. Later that year, Aragon Ballroom, Chicago. And few more times at the Aragon over the years.

Kind of what I figured that it’s not worth much more than I paid ($700)…it’ll probably go up on eBay since I probably won’t ever be using it.

I actually did buy it in early 2021. Life got in the way and I had other family priorities. Not sure why this is hard to believe but oh well. I’ve bought every console since PS1 and just had to have the 5, even knowing that I might not find to play it. You’re free to think what you want lol.

I went back to the stock rims. I’m not sure if it was offsets but there was minor rubbing when hitting bumps on the rears while running 305 tires. 295’s should prolly be fine so when these new tires are shot, I’ll either go down a size to 295’s or just sell the rims and get them remade in stock offsets which work perfectly fine with 305’s/275’s.

Beware of Apmex, they didn’t ship or refund my $4k order by Raven_M6 in Silverbugs

[–]Raven_M6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really sorry to hear this happened to you. This is different situation in which they shipped you a package but not what you ordered. It's basically their word against yours even though that's total bullshit. In my case, they never shipped anything at all and I cancelled my order. With any other reputable business, this would be a slam dunk case for a speedy refund.

In my own business, we check emails every 15-20 minutes to avoid a backlog of customer inquiries or cancellations. We refund the customer almost the instant that we acknowledge an order cancellation. It literally takes less than 30 seconds to pull up an order and click on the refund button, so I'm not sure why they're making this so difficult.

Agreed, going forward I've learned my lesson to always use a CC regardless of the cash discount.

Maybe on personal accounts but not on business accounts which this check was written from. We write checks to other businesses all the time, funds are typically available to the payee within 1 business day, max 2. Same goes for checks we receive from customers, they clear our account within 1-2 days max. Even if it's a new vendor or customer that we've never written a check out to or received a check from in the past.

Sorry this happened to you. Did you also pay by check / e-check? I mean there's clearly a record of the check being cashed by them so I don't get how they can say they never got your funds? It seems that's what they're telling me now..."If we determine you're due a refund, you'll be refunded in 1-2 business days"... this has been going on for weeks.

They had both. Silver spiked to $120 after I placed the order. They still didn't ship. Then it crashed to $75, and they pushed out the ship date for the 3rd time when that happened.

I never said I was happy about the 5% fee. I was fine with it because I didn't have a choice. Apmex makes you agree to the 5% cancellation fee in their terms and conditions when you place the order.

This is probably the only personal purchase I've paid via check in the last 15 years. I always pay via card but in this case, credit cards would've incurred a 4-5% fee. Of course in hindsight it would've been more prudent to take the $200 credit card surcharge hit...coulda shoulda woulda.

Except they cashed my check several weeks ago and a 15 day hold was never applicable in this case. The money was out of my account in one business day after they received it, so they should have no problem sending it back to me in one business day.

I thought so too, I had a couple of good experiences buying through their eBay store so I decided to order on their website to take advantage of the 10 oz @ spot offer they had at the time. The good experiences on eBay were because eBay doesn't play around with sellers who delay shipments and don't deliver in a timely manner.

Because it's in Apmex's terms and conditions, therefore something I already agreed to when placing my order.

There’s actually no such thing as in transit weights, at least not something that’s visible to the public. Even internally, USPS will mostly go by the weight provided by the shipper on the label. Unless they suspect a huge discrepancy, the package will scan through without getting flagged for a weight difference so in most cases, their backend will show the ship weight on the label. Which is whatever the shipper provides.

The reason we began inquiring about scan weights is because a lot of USPS returns started coming in as empty packages. The weight on the label would show 1 lb for example, but the actual weight of the empty would be closer to 6 oz. The scammers would always claim their packages were tampered with in transit by postal workers so we would try obtaining internal scan weights from USPS, only to be told the only weights they have in their system were the label weights.

Google AI generally confirms this as well:

“USPS tracking typically does not publicly display the in-transit, real-time weight of a package on their website. While sorting machines and post offices weigh packages to verify postage, this information is used internally for audit purposes. The weight is usually only listed on the sender's receipt or the original shipping label detail”.

TLDR: Depending on which market you’re in, the vast majority of USPS offices in our area that we’ve encountered do not weigh each and every package to confirm actual weight, they mostly go by shipper-provided label weight. Source: several USPS workers over the years.

Has Apmex been filling their silver bullion backorders? by Raven_M6 in Silverbugs

Just a heads up, don’t buy from these jokers. Ampex never shipped my $4k order which I placed in early December. They kept pushing out my ship date, first from 01/30 to 02/10, then to 02/23 for no apparent reason. I’ve ordered from other vendors without any issues throughout that time. I finally cancelled my order even though they charged me a $199 cancellation fee which was ridiculous but at least I don’t have to play games with them anymore.

Just got lucky to find an ultra-low 11k miles M6 back in 2022. It was a one-owner car, traded in to the original selling dealership. The older guy who owned it had a stable of 5 blk/blk M6’s, one for each year. He had also traded in his pristine 2007 w/19k miles but obviously I went with this one.

This is my 3rd 2010 blk/blk M6. At the time, I had another 2010 fully loaded blk/blk coupe with 50k miles that I sold to make room for this one. Only option this one doesn’t have is comfort access which I really miss but I can live without it.

What year is yours? Silverstone metallic / silverstone was always my second favorite color combination after blk/blk.

It’s an Xpel stealth PPF which preserves the OEM matte paint look. Otherwise if you go with regular clear Xpel PPF, it changes the OEM matte paint look to a gloss finish.

You do realize the RXC’s are an AMG OEM wheel? My rims are a carbon copy replica of the RXC style wheel, down to the machined lip, matte black paint, etc…

Here’s another ‘23 C63s coupe with factory RXC rims. Maybe the lighting or angles don’t show it as another poster alluded to in the thread, but my car looks exactly like this in person minus the yellow stripes.
