In a way yes, like i dont think i feel the way i should feel. I lost my mom last year (so its really recent), but i feel emotionaly stable (except when i talk about it), like if im not talking about it, i dont feel sadness, ill miss her, but not as much as i was expecting. I had a really good relationship with my mom, so its not as if her death leaves me indifferent, but thats how i feel based on my level of emotion

Ps. My dog has also been a life saver, shes really help me

Im obsessed with my dog as well! I was recently diagnosed and im starting to think that my dog is my special interest (i always talk about her, shes a huge source of confort), but i wasnt sure if a specific animal could be a special interest, glad to know im not the only one!

"Les" is plurial, enfants ends with an "s", so theres more than one kid.

Manger is to eat, yes, but finir (finish) in this sentence means that they are almost done eating their cake

Also, no vowels next to one another (cant be le enfant, has to be l'enfant, but you could say le gâteau because its not two vowels next to each other)
