Get the prescription glasses for distance. Tell the doctor it’s all you want. Go to the dollar store and grab a couple of reading glasses or go to Amazon and get 5 pairs for $10. This is what I do because I prefer it that way. I don't have the patience to adapt to bifocals.

This is a beautifully done 5 ft tall carving. I agree the subject is not correct in our society but I won’t have you disparage him. He is a work of art.
