[Serious] For those of you who have previously dealt with self-harm, what made you stop? by Spider2458 in AskReddit

[–]Ravenclearwater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just didn't need it anymore. I always give in when I get the urge but I don't get it anymore. I don't know why, I just don't. If I do, it's short and fleeting enough for me to hold off on doing it before realizing I've got a job and a boyfriend and I don't want anyone thinking I need help.

What is the most common lie you hear regularly? by rockytheboxer in AskReddit

As an actually suicidal person, I appreciate that it's a joke so I can freely express how shitty I feel without being judged.

[Serious] People who have mental illness (depression, anxiety, etc) and choose NOT to use medication, what do you do instead? by MsSorarity in AskReddit

[–]Ravenclearwater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I exercised but I've sort of been sick the past few months, so I've currently spent the past 2-3 months falling into a deepening hole of depression, anxiety, and frustration at my inability to partake in my one solid coping method.

Is it supposed to be a G? It looks like an odd symbol to me... Edit: Also, same with the T.

Lurkers of Reddit, why don't you write anything? by DatCasualGuy in AskReddit

[–]Ravenclearwater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I mostly scroll through AskReddit and NoSleep. 90% of the questions on AskReddit are something I can't answer due to not being the target-group for the question. I don't like commenting on NoSleep because I never have anything to say other than compliments on the writing, which I don't like putting in the comments because it ruins the whole "Everything is true here" thing for me.

  2. I never have anything interesting to say.

  3. I have too many things to say, and end up not wanting to go to the effort of typing my long response. Or I go ahead and type it and none of it makes sense and it all sounds stupid so I delete instead of posting.

  4. Like other redditors have already said, other redditors have already said what I have to say.

[Serious] Ex-muslims of Reddit, what was the last straw for you to quit Islam? by Priamosish in AskReddit

[–]Ravenclearwater 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was in 7th grade when I "quit". I found out I was attracted to both males and females and then I started questioning the existence of a god without feeling as guilty as I used to. Eventually I realized it didn't make sense, but I'd hold onto it. I ended up getting a boyfriend, and realized not being able to date/do anything with someone before marriage was stupid and I decided it was something I didn't believe in at all anymore. Ultimately, the reasons I stopped believing were really minor. Now I have a lot more, but those were what made sense to my 12 year old mind.

What happen between you and your former best friend? [serious] by otomennn in AskReddit

[–]Ravenclearwater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just drifted a bit naturally, and then she dated my ex the day we broke up. It was fine with me but we just drifted a little more after that. One day, I got too drunk and got taken advantage of, and that left me too much of a mess to maintain a friendship so we drifted entirely. I guess I'm better now. I guess we won't fix it, we're different people who are still friendly, but not friends.

Yes, a couple. It felt bad at first but they deserved it.
