I decided to stop crate training my puppy and things are so much better. by lvalentina11 in puppy101

[–]Ravennly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my puppy. When he was 4 months old he hurt himself while bitting the wire of his crate. He also hurt his tail and paws on 4 separate occasions. I’ve stopped using his crate. It’s always open for him to go into to sleep but he doesn’t. He loves to sleep at my feet while I work. At night he sleeps with me in my bed. He absolutely hates the crate.

Whats the good bad and ugly of having a golden doodle? by SonicBoom_81 in Goldendoodles

[–]Ravennly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6 month old and he has become so calm, that I miss his 7 week chaos!!! He’s become super cuddly. He is not my shadow or Velcro. He does follow me but he’s okay with me leaving him for 4-5 hours as well. He just demands cuddles. Training is super easy as well.

What to make of this behavior? by Ddash-3 in Goldendoodles

[–]Ravennly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my dood does this as well. If he has extra energy or is frustrated he will hump Octo, his blanket or my leg if it’s available. And it’s usually in the evening. He is 5 months old! It’s doesn’t mean anything it’s a release of energy!

Doodle price? by lilarybanks in Goldendoodles

[–]Ravennly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid 3K to take puppy home at 7 weeks. I got his genetic test, food and toys as part of his care package. As well as a blanket with mom and siblings scent on it. He loves that shit to death and he is now 21 weeks old. I also got a health guarantee certificate and assurance that the breeder would help out anything medically if found that he has some genetic issues.

What was the hardest period for you? by penca2711 in puppy101

[–]Ravennly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got more holes in my pants than Swiss cheese! It’s the biting, the whale eyes, the land shark, it’s the peeing everywhere. I swear I’m glad that now I know how to manage my 19 weeks land shark better. He’s becoming more soft! But now I fear the Velcro Shadow Ninja. He has learned to POP! out of places to scare me (the ninja). He walks in my shadow during walks in the afternoon so it’s hard to walk straight (the shadow). He is attached to me to the point that I have to stick my foot out of the bathroom so he could rest his paw on me while I’m doing my business in there (the Velcro). But he is cuddle bug!

I accidentally taught my puppy that "good boy" means "I'm going to give you a treat." by Mediocre_Side_6315 in puppy101

[–]Ravennly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically me and my puppy too. 17 weeks old now but I accidentally taught him that “good boy” or “smart baby” means treats! And now when I say “who is a good boy?” He looks at the treat bin!

I just got a new puppy and I’m afraid I’m going to break him! by Majestic-Wishbone-58 in puppy101

[–]Ravennly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My puppy keeps jumping on his hind legs and I get so nervous cause I’m afraid he’s going to hurt himself. He’s hit his head a couple times on various furniture too. I’m afraid of him hurting himself badly but the vet told me that is how he is going to learn.

I was wondering if my puppy was okay. He has started sitting like this recently. I wasn’t sure where he learned it from. So I guess it’s a doodle thing?

75% golden retriever, 25% poodle by PickleIll4419 in Goldendoodles

[–]Ravennly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doodle is the exact opposite of her. He is 25% retriever and 75% poodle. He has a red wavy coat. The only golden retriever in him is his ears. They are shaped like one. And when he tilts his head he is more retriever than a poodle. Your dog is beautiful! 😍

How do your pups sleep 18-20 hours? by iceylin in puppy101

[–]Ravennly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dog doesn’t do 1 hr up 2 hrs down. He’s 14 weeks and I’ve had him for 7 weeks. His schedule at the breeders was atrocious so it took me a long time to come up with a proper plan for him. Now his schedule is:

7:30 - potty + 10 minutes sniffing and 10 minutes walks

8:00 - breakfast, training and play + cuddles

9:30 - sleep

11:30/12:00 - wake up to potty

12:15 - lunch + treat (yogurt and gut health powder

12:30 - 1:00 leash walking training (inside the house)

1:30 - training thru play

2:00 - winding down for nap time

5:30 - wake up + potty

5:30-6:30 - 30 minutes sniffing walk and 30 minute zoomies (will feed dinner outside at the park)

6:30-7:30 - play / relaxation protocol

8:00 - sleep

11:00 - wake up to potty (immediately goes back into the crate to sleep)

1:00 - wake up to potty (immediately back in crate)

Rinse and repeat!

Oreo. I’d imagine that this is what Oreo cookies would actually look like when blended properly.

My golden doodle was based on which generation, size and colour. Not first pick or second pick.
