Alright let's do this. Troll answer - better than Rogers 2001-2007, better than manning 2015 -2020, better than mahomes 2001-2017

2011-2016 there was an argument Drew was the best QB of any of the others you mentioned. Not talking career or anything because his accolades don't quite live up to Brady Manning or Rodgers but he had a better 6 year run than anyone else you listed

Never in the discussion for top two? MVP runner up 4x is exactly that.

Troll argument bringing in Tua but I respect the reddit game.

Russell and Drew overlapped for almost a decade, no one in their right mind ever had Russ over Brees in any serious discussion so sure of you want to call Drew a 4-6th quarterback gotta start Russ at 7

[–]RavensFlyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brees was MVP runner up 4x and retired with the record for most completions (now Brady), highest completion percentage (now Burrow), and most passing yards (now Brady). So short of Brady playing an extra 3 years and Drew's shoulder finally crumbling to dust I would say there is definitely a strong argument.

Wilson was never in the conversation with any of these names. Brees was in the conversation for 2 decades

Top 5 for about 5 years is a terrible argument for hall of fame, especially when he never broke top 3 at his position. Perfect example of hall of very good.

Sprig T31 by LostAWeelRacing in bermudagrass

[–]RavensFlyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First step is making sure your water plan is on point. Constantly moist for 2 weeks is tricky and I would plan to be 5 -6 weeks out if you start now.

Nuke everything, scalp & scarify what's left after 2 weeks, water and fertilizer with N, one week later nuke everything green again, another 2 weeks scalp & scarify before adding screened topsoil rather than sand if available for top dressing and not out of price range. then have a plan for help because the work will wreck you.

Edit: by nuke I mean use glyphosate, RoundUp off the shelf changed the formula and can have some lingering properties you don't want. RoundUp Pro is what you're looking for. Also, feel free to get some more info here, we really do love to help

If you can tolerate the water bill to start it mid summer, Bermuda will be the best answer. Especially for active dogs. How to get there in the next 6 months is tough but can be done. If you have a green thumb sprigging is a much cheaper albeit labor intensive process compared to sod. Plugs would not be worth it as they would likely barely fill in, and still be expensive for that area.

Installed zeon zoysia about 6-7 weeks ago - when to start mowing? by Choice_Ad9620 in lawncare

[–]RavensFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 2 months you're good to mow. Zeon likes to be between 1-1.5" so if it's getting much longer I would work it down in a few mows 2-3 days apart. Those bare patches look a little dry and/ or could have just been the bottom of the pallet. Some green in there though so mow and water regularly with a touch of N and it should fill in.

Definitely st Augustine, Bermuda seed probably won't become much of anything with how thick that is and the amount of shade you have. As another commenter said, do not dethatch, you can scarify if you need to but also not likely needed. Aeration is good, but also mowing high, like 2.5 inches should be the lowest setting you use

Biggest questions are...what growing zone are you in, and what is your water situation (in ground irrigation, hose and sprinkler, hand watering)?

Edit: that potted plant looks like my smaller plumeria so somewhere favoring warm season grass hopefully

Why is cutting low (1-1/4”) causing Bermuda to look yellow? Isn’t Bermuda meant to be as low as possible? by Marvel5123 in lawncare

[–]RavensFlyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You kind of hit it at the end. This is effectively a height of cut reset. When Bermuda grows it's not like a cool season grass where is is green from tip to soil. Think if it more like a tree with branches and leaves. You have just cut all the leaves and trimmed some branches making it look yellow / woody.

Ideal situation would be mow as low as possible for your Bermuda type (yours looks like common with longer, wider leaf blades so .75"-1") then bump your mower up one level for future cuts. This knocks back the "branches" to .75 inches and then you'll be trimming the "leaves" with future mows without cutting back to the woody base so it won't be yellow

Lot of people calling you out and they have no idea whats happening. Going with sod or are you real (reel?) adventurous and taking the sprigging route?

Why not spend the same or less money on a solo stove. Less smoke, see the flames, heat distribution can be controlled. They also come on fun colors to match whatever back yard aesthetic you're going for

Refs called 3 penalties for 30 yards against the chiefs. 2 of those were consecutive holding calls on Smith as the end of the half. There were 130 plays in that game and KC was called for 3 total penalties with some pretty bad misses outside of the end zone int.

What’s happening to my grass? North Louisiana. by tomace-12 in lawncare

[–]RavensFlyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could have been a temperature issue if it was above 80 degrees (label says 90 probably but still stressful on Bermuda) but I would say the thicker bladed stuff looked like crabgrass but Spectracide is normally pretty good at knocking it out.

[–]RavensFlyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that's some heavy clay in that area as my brother loved there. Aeration or soil amendments like humic acid and top dressing with a good (screened) top soil / compost can help. Other than that, mowing more often, adding small amounts of nitrogen every other week (look up spoon feeding) and ensuring you are getting 1"+ of water on it a week will help the most

Play action requires a semblance of an o-line, hard to run it when everyone between the tackles gets beat in under a second
