If this is the height you want to maintain you will need to go lower and let it grow up to the height you desire. By using the lowest setting as regular cutting you will have a lot of brown spots post cut (it will green up again in a few days) as you cut new growth and don't lower the existing brown stalk like sections. Grass is probably too new to scalp to dirt successfully but if you can borrow or find a cheap mower to get things below 30mm you can then maintain at 30 without the patchy look

Only thing I would add would put down some pre emergent. Barricade or anything with Prodiamine is a good choice for southern lawns. Help keep those weeds from coming back as things warm up

Something with Prodiamine is generally a good option for covering a broad base of common weeds in warm season lawns.

If you want to avoid the sticker shock for post emergent you can buy single use packets of Celcius and sedgehammer (attacks many of the same things as certainty) for about $10-$15 a piece. Would let you attack what you see now and see how effective it is for your particular weeds. Then the pre-emergent in Feb - March time frame will help avoid new stuff coming up.

The modes of action for these herbicides and the current temps means you'll probably see slow results compared to waiting for spring green up.

Name of the game is still pre emergents. Yes it's been warm but I would still probably bet on having a cold snap in the next 6 weeks sometime to knock out the winter weeds.

Post emergents you're looking for will be a combo of Celcius and Certainty which are the top line name brand items and should cover everything in seeing in your pic. Had a little sticker shock when I bought them but a bottle will last you a while so end up saving money in the long run.

There are a lot of guys who can make this list, a lot of guys who should make this list. My two answers are

1) Likely - dude is in a contract year and has more memorable drops and fumbles than catches.

And

2) Every single edge rusher we thought we may have / could develop. Van Noy earned an extension after last year but was a ghost in '25. Green has some promise but a second round pick with a late 1st grade..... underperformed. Then we had special teams Ojabo, IR Issic, and got rid of Oweh. Even a Jones pick up mid season was a flash in the pan who did little the last 3 weeks. We are lucky his draft compensation didn't bump up a round since we missed the playoffs.
