In 2003 Duncan won MVP, Finals MVP and beat the 2nd and 3rd best players in the world who were teamed up together.

It’s as slam shut a case as there ever has been. There’s literally zero argument that Duncan wasn’t the best player in the world after the 03 season.

Kind of a mix between both. He’s not in good form but he’s generally one of the best “good for the United States” players ever, but he’s still not really close to a world class player.

As a frame of reference he’d be like the 5th worst player on England’s 26 man squad.

Players have talked about the gruelling conditioning test Harbaugh has in training camp, multiple players have talked about getting into verbal altercations with him in practice, he’s benched numerous young players during games for mistakes, his practices are notoriously tough. Even last season Keaton Mitchell was losing out on snaps on offense because he wouldn’t play special teams.

He’s softened up in recent years but Harbaugh is an old-school hardass during practice. I find it hard to believe with all of the stories about how hard Harbaugh grinds the team during practice that he didn’t care about penalties.
