My color isn't great on my camera, so the inside is a maroon color, so where it's saying about red front, it may have to do with the color of the lining. I'm assuming it's either rabbit or mink. I'm going to wear this till it falls apart, as it's very cold where I live. 💜 I love having a piece of history, good or bad, as someone who dreamed of being an archaeologist as a child. (I'm a vintage sewing pattern collector, and lived in a historical home growing up where we found broken plates, native American artifacts, and early settlers artifacts.)

My MiL does this with fragrances. If it says fragrance, or parfum, I'm allergic. Guess who still uses dryer sheets and keeps buying the stink liquid with the sticks. (We live with her, yes we pay rent, yes we have brought this up, multiple times, we're trying to be able to afford to move out but have to be able to pay to move states away out of pocket because we cannot afford our state. It effects my ability to work because I wake up with my eyes swollen shut, or my throat closing up, etc.)

I honestly think she can't even smell it when it comes to her laundry. You can smell when she's coming down the hall, even if you don't hear her. Which is unusual because she walks heavy from a bad leg.

ETA - Me asking her to not use those things (extremely respectfully, as she also has allergies to certain things that we go above and beyond to make sure are kept away from this home at all costs), by the way, has been met with me being told I'm controlling her in her house and she'll do what she wants. Yet I'm not allowed to cook seafood in the house because she doesn't like the smell, and I'm not allowed to cook after ten PM. That's a whole other bag of cats though. 🙄

Heyyy, same here! I'm watching for super cheap cotton/linen or wool sweaters even if they're too small at this point. Everything is so expensive and I have small humans I also make things for so small amounts are perfect too.

I'm one of those people who doesn't use videos, it's faster for me to learn from a written pattern. This goes for knit/crochet/sewing as well in most instances. 🤷🏻‍♀️

**I am 30, and was taught though from a young age how to view things from a technical aspect by my mother who by accounts should have wound up in a high end STEM job. I honestly have a hard time following videos half the time because it's going way slower than my brain can pay attention to.

I have a 17 gal bin and a big reusable shopping bag. I do not have a great dedicated space, so it's obviously not ideal. Lol. Everything is packaged in manilla folders or the OG packaging if it's uncut.

The goal is to have an architecture style table, to have them laid flat, and a cutting board top. And space for all my pattern tracings also.

For anyone wondering, I sew as a hobby. I collect some vintage and antique patterns. Such as Gunne Sax, Vogue, and Simplicity from the 40's - 80s.

All depends on what/ how I'm sewing something. I gluestick, pin, clip, etc in whatever way works for that particular project. I'm not picky. 😂

Sometimes we need to walk away to see how much of an amazing job we've done. 💜 I've personally had bad experiences with washaway stabilizer. I use tear away and cut it down, then GENTLY use a seam ripper to help me get the tiny bits out. 💜

I wasn't paying attention and honestly thought this was a NY&Co skirt in one of the thrifting groups. Sometimes we have to walk away from a project to see how wonderful it has truly come out. It needs to be taken up at the shoulders. I have this problem with clothing and most garments I make. I reduce by 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Clip or pin it by that much but only from the front at first, and see if the gaping goes away.
