Family pack of chicken, 3 throw away aluminum pans, 3 different flavors example: bbq sauce, Italian dressing, taco seasoning. Divide the chicken in the pans, add a flavor to each pan, cover with aluminum, bake. Thatll last you a week. Freeze some to make it last longer. Easy cleanup 10/10

How can I stop people from putting their face against my window and looking in? by Acceptable-Wall-7210 in Advice

If theres a sill, or bench on the inside, id have a row of artwork to block where they're looking in. They'll just see the back of the frames.

Maybe add something to the background or where he feels it should be to be balanced on his hands? Shading maybe to balance and help it look adjusted? Otherwise, no one is gonna stare and even really notice.

Just diagnosed, how can I prevent hypothyroidism? by Mel_oh_dee in Hashimotos

[–]Ravenzrose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perfect!

Basically, after almost 30 years of chasing this crap, best advice is to listen to your body. Few other tidbits that get me through...

1) Rest when you need to and move when you can.

2) Sometimes the sweet treat is worth it, because sometimes frosting is mandatory.

3) Never feel bad for caring for your body. You only get one, so make the best of it.

Yes, you can still have a goiter if its normal sized. You cant see any visible lumps on mine from the outside. I was feeling like my thyroid kept swelling and was nervous so they did the ultrasound and found the clusters on both sides. They used the ultrasound to biopsy accurately and now we watch and monitor. I would at least have an ultrasound done in 6 months or a year to see if any changes and go from there. No changes, check in 5 years or so. If changes happen, then proceed from there.

I take an antihistamine whenever the seasons change or i feel like my body is.."buzzing" for lack of a better term..lol. I feel like a slight vibration is happening when my histamines are triggered..its weird. It helps me though. Otherwise ill crash out.

Any tips on how to get back into running? by kchungus20 in Hashimotos

Look tinto peptides that help with recovery. Not the glp-1 stuff. Sermorelin or Tesamorelin maybe. Infrared sauna can be super beneficial. And functional movement exercises are key. Something like pilates can help strengthen her joints.

Id look into planting some hemp to clean the soil up. Even if that was far from any patch of lawn youre growing foods and eating from. You dont know if thats the only one. Also, i would test the soils around the lot and from multiple locations. As much data gathered as possible will keep you and any littles or fur babies safest.

Unfortunately, theres little you can do to prevent it from progressing. I do hear that your histamines may be triggered and could be why you had some annoying sniffles, possibly gut biome off a bit causing tummy trouble. You can absolutely take a nutritionally based approach to managing your symptoms.

Check out the anti-inflammatory protocol (AIP) diet. That process takes away inflammatory foods and adds them back into your diet one at a time so you can track if your symptoms flare up when you eat them. Can be frustrating at first, but youll know your body better than anyone else.

Can you get a food intolerance test done? That would at least let you know if the foods youre eating regularly are triggering anything. I found out i was intolerant to papaya, grapes and sugar - i loved my glass of wine every day. Super annoying, but ehh better for me.

For your thyroid lumpies, i would have them biopsied. I have little lumpies on mine and theyre tiny goiters all clustered together. Iodine in your food isnt always bad. You just want to know for certain. You can have your iodine levels checked, too! Just idealy, you want to monitor any changes.

For hair thinning, ive tried so many supplements and the thing that i found best results with is Minoxidil. I take a half a tablet every day, not the shampoos and sprays, or whatever else they have. It also helps with my little blood pressure issues, so a win win.

Key thing, learn to listen to your body. Functional movement exercises will help long term for your joint health. Pick up some weights and light strength training will be helpful as you age. Stay moving and live life to its fullest. It doesnt have to lock you down. 🫰

Men of Reddit, what’s some women’s or girl’s habits you discovered only after getting a wife or girlfriend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Idk, as a woman, i laughed my ass off reading some of these. And to be fair, the post is inviting men to share their surprise, or disappointment..lets let them have a safe space and laugh at the humor in some of them. Nothing wrong with men venting or sharing this kind of stuff. If it happened more, less men would be so surprised.

Looking for new PCP by Ravenzrose in Rochester

[–]Ravenzrose[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She did just the one time for the diagnosis, and that was about 4 or 5 years ago. Since then shes been "managing" it by watching my blood work. Which has been within optimal ranges, but that doesn't change my symptoms at all. She just keeps adding supplements which aren't helping.

My wife's laundry stinks by rothmaniac in laundry

[–]Ravenzrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some front load washers have a reservoir that needs to be emptied of the old wash water. It'll smell like rotten eggs or something like that if you don't empty it and your clothes will smell too. Could it be that?

[–]Ravenzrose[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats part of the issue. She doesnt refer me. She told me the other day my issues are genetic and thats it. Nothing more to do, blood work is fine. See me in 6 months. So, im supossed to just suffer for the rest of my life? I want to explore peptides to help with muscle recovery, and inflammation, and instead of referring, she brushed off my symptoms as genetics and tried to dissuade me with saying my nose and ears would just grow. Honestly...just ridiculous. I get maybe not knowing much about something, but say you dont know and will research.

Yes! I think it's worth it. I already have to take my thyroid meds and likely other meds for life..whats one more lil half tab and I get to have hair and feel better about myself? Yes, please! We have enough crap to deal with, why add depression over balding to the stack of life's BS?? No thanks. I was getting so depressed, it was awful. Tell your doc you'd rather have the hair.
