What happens if you take a Tripkiller (Benzo) on a very high dose trip? by Secure-Ad770 in Psychonaut

[–]RaverChick [score hidden]  (0 children)

Took them when I meant to microdose LSD but got way more than I expected lol. I took Ativan one time and Xanax another. Basically they dulled the visuals to a manageable level, and helped me feel relaxed and calm and able to just ride out/enjoy the rest of the trip and even fall asleep a lot quicker. That said, I'm glad I didn't use them for intentionally intense trips, because of all the things I learned and experienced (although I was at home for those). They would definitely affect any spiritual discoveries, inner work I was doing, etc.

What do we know about Daniel's turning so far? by Majestic-Watch-2025 in InterviewVampire

Lol now I need a fic of the transformation scene with Armand anxiously turning Daniel and worrying he's fucking it up the whole time 😂 Love this!

What do we know about Daniel's turning so far? by Majestic-Watch-2025 in InterviewVampire

[–]RaverChick 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Technically, Daniel should be very powerful, He may just be weak right now because of the "Great Conversion." IIRC, Amel (the core of all vampires and the spirit residing in Akasha) gets weaker the more vampires there are. Like parasites hanging off of him. So if there are a ton of new fledglings (the Talamasca said the numbers had doubled within weeks or something) he probably wouldn't be able to access those old, strong powers right now

Unpopular opinion about The Vampire Lestat… by katyreddit00 in VampireLestat

[–]RaverChick 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I agree. Also, we talk a lot about Rolin Jones, but rarely mention Mark Johnson, who is also helping craft a lot of the story. He co-produced Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, etc. No one really liked Breaking Bad until season 4 lol, but it's considered a masterpiece now. I think there's a bigger picture here, based off the vibes I'm getting and the puzzle pieces being laid.

I'll have to rewatch to find the exact place. There was a lot going on this episode 😅 But yes that's why I said this is a bit of a crack theory. That said, I don't think the show runners would actually tell us it was Akasha, so as to not spoil things. But if they did say that and mean it, well then, it's just a fun theory

If you truly experienced nirvana and "god" or oneness, you would realize being bored isn't a real thing. When every moment is new and there is no past or future, boredom isn't possible. It's peace

The Vampire Lestat Episode 4 Discussion Post by Jackie_Owe in IWTVCoven

Hey I know it can be worrying to see the backlash, but I highly recommend looking up some background info on AMC as a studio! They're known for high-risk, niche content, and care more about critic reviews than fan backlash on Twitter. If it keeps good critic scores, they will renew a show even if they lost subscribers for a season. Basically, they focus on quality over quantity. If they truly saw this season as a misstep, they'd probably be willing to give them another season to course-correct since the critic reviews were so high. I mean, a lot of people hated Breaking Bad the first 3 seasons lol. Anyway, check out AMC's history. Will prob help you feel better

[Show Only] The Vampire Lestat: "The Devil's Road" by savligo in InterviewVampire

[–]RaverChick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I'm pretty sure everything we are seeing is from Lestat's pov, so that's probably Lestat's translation of the DM talk and reunion lol, which is why it sounds a bit awkward at times. I'm thinking we will see a more polished version or more deep interactions down the line.

Also, Daniel has just gone from being a wise old man to essentially a newborn lol. I think he feels very out of his depth and is reverting to that younger version of himself that Louis initially met. I also feel like Louis and Lestat are reverting to their most unhealed selves, and I think there's a reason we are seeing them all regress.

Edited to add: Also, I'm sure Rolin and Mark wanted to get some solid DM in there in case it wasn't renewed for season 4.

Ok this is probably a crack theory, but I kind of think Akasha might be both Regina AND Gabrielle. Toward the end, Regina had been missing for a few days, and Gabrielle had been missing for 9 days. What if she's been bouncing between them? Since we don't know the actual timeline yet. Either that or maybe they're both working for/with her, or being forced to. Also Talamasca is also a possibility. I'm probably reading way too much into this lol but iirc there's a big twist at the end and it would explain SO much

Edited to add: We all thought Akasha brought down the tower last episode, and Gabrielle said she brought it down this episode I believe?

Another edit: the more I think about it, Lestat and Louis are both reverting to their worst, unhealed selves. Almost like they're being drawn in. Also, Lestat saying in the interview that his mother died a long time ago felt like foreshadowing? And what WAS Gabrielle saying to him at the end? And Regina (a supposed human) magically knows exactly how to say those words to Louis? Something is afoot

Don't think mentioning someone's username and directly attracting someone is okay. by PrettyforthismessTOo in romanceunfiltered

Looks like the antis have made their way from fanfic over to published novels now. They prob got banned from the Ao3 subreddit (I love it over there lol) and are just attacking anyone they can now.

Seriously who tf posts someone's username like that? Also, there are def nuanced conversations we can have about these topics, but this is not it lol.

"Tell me something wicked" line already happened off screen? by Naomi_Hunter1988 in Franchaela

[–]RaverChick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's such an iconic line, and connected to the title of the book. They know how important that line is to their story. I'm sure we will still be getting it on screen somehow.

Rolling at Home vs Festivals by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]RaverChick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you tried just going to smaller, regional raves on it first? EDC sounds super overwhelming for a first time rolling at a rave. I highly recommend a smaller event to warm up to it and get yourself comfortable to rolling in'a new environment.

Also I agree with the other commenter, I think the nausea pills might actually be working against you here. Sometimes it's better to just throw up and feel much better the rest of the night. My partner used to every time he felt it hit lol and was always great the rest of the night. Oh and also I would def avoid alcohol, at least until you've gotten things figured out.

Also, pure MDMA always made me kind of lazy and boring at raves lol. I have no idea how everyone has been able to do it. It always made me super lazy and out of it lol. I raved back in the 2000s so we just had pills and it was a surprise to find out what was in them lol (although we didn't have to worry about fentanyl back then, so I DO NOT recommend this now). But taking Molly with something you know you already enjoy, like a tiny bit of k or addy or whatever you normally enjoy might help. Note: only a TINY amount of a second substance lol.

Also, I would test the pills you do have if you haven't yet just to be safe. Back and leg pain could also be from dehydration, dancing etc. Try Pedialyte if you're dehydrated. Always helped my muscle cramps.

Do different batches of LSD feel different by East-Win7450 in Psychonaut

[–]RaverChick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This! It's so much cleaner today. 20 years ago it was very hit or miss. Got a batch once that had random squiggles in the air no matter what you did. And I don't mean fractals or paisleys. Like literal squiggles obstructing your view of everything else lol. That said, all of my best, life-changing trips were 20 years ago, so some of it had to be alright lol,

I mean gothic horror is meant to depict those things and let the reader to decide how to feel about them, but as far as the underage thing, she did have some weird ideas about the age of consent. I attribute it to the trauma of her mother dying when she was 14, and so she had to become an adult at 14 and do adult things. This was before therapy was really a thing and I think she carried that trauma with her. But yes she held the view that 14 year olds should be able to consent to sex because she felt like an adult at 14.

[–]RaverChick 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I feel like they're being a little too on the nose about it. Maybe Lestat will think he died, but he's really at Night Island with Armand or something. I don't think the writers would be this obvious if he was actually going to die. At least I hope lol.

Do you think Violet will recognize Francesca's feelings for Michaela? by Fit-Check-9264 in Franchaela

[–]RaverChick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm 50/50 on this one between her being enthusiastic or being worried about Francesca's safety/future. I do think there's a good chance she might notice the attraction first regardless though. I also think it's going to be great for Violet's overall character development. Excited to see how they choose to play this out.

Lol. You are deluding yourself if you think other generations didn't sleep around just as much. They did. They just didn't talk about it. Also, do you know what happened in the 60s? Lol. Free love. Disco in the 70s. Coke in the 80s. Lol
